-LONG TEXT AHEAD!!!- Disclaimer (PLEASE READ): Do not harass anyone mentioned in my rant (?), as that would be against Scratch's Community Guidelines. I just wanted to speak out regarding about some issues in my profile comments. "If I had a nickel for every time someone asks me to do a request after I said no, I'd probably be rich." Okay, I'm exaggerating, but it is how it is. Before I start ranting and making my statements, no, this does not mean that requesting people to make vector sprites for you is a bad thing. Some people may accept them happily, while others (like me) don't. I know, most of the people who ask me this are probably children or just can't actually do vector art, and yes, I can admit that I've requested vectors from other people, but that's because they wanted to do it, and they encourage people to do so. So if you don't know, I used to take requests from people, that I even gave those requests their own dedicated studio ( https://scratch.mit.edu/studios/35625395/ ). The main reason why I halted requests in the first place is due a burn out I had when making them. If I recall correctly, it was due to being requested sprite after sprite from the same user (not mentioning them however, so don't go harass them) until I got waaay too burnt out to make them. I'll say it, doing people's requests is quite fun (especially if its an OC, cuz that's where things get good), but not too much if it's overdone so much. The other reason for the halt of requests is due to the fact that I mainly go to this website for doing some rambling and replying to comments on my profile. I'm more active on my other socials (especially Tumblr and YT), and since I want to focus on other stuff than just being on this website. I already made an announcement for this previously ( ), in which I later on put a sign in my "What I'm working on" list, which shows that requests are not allowed anymore. Unsurprisingly though, people just jump over the sign and ask me a request anyways. Like I said in the beginning, most of the people who are asking me this are probably children who wouldn't read the dang WIWO list, or people who can't find another person to request to, so I tried to be as blunt as I could when responding to these comments, but no, y'all keep asking, so I had no choice but to make this. This is the reason why I made a vector rip tutorial ( ) in the first place, so y'all can try making some on your own, but I did say that I could help you if you need when making vectors. Did it help anyone? Yes! Someone actually did credit me for helping them make some vectors, and I was really happy about that, which is why I do encourage people to make some sprites of their own. It might not be for everyone, but who knows? It might help for future spriters as well, and to carry our legacy of vector ripping from us (the spriters)! Just because I make vector rips of characters doesn't mean you have to ask from me (or anyone else who doesn't take requests), some other people may be able to take your requests though (and maybe encourage you to do so)! I can't name them, but I'm sure there are many people on this website that do. "Oh, but you said you accepted requests on Tumblr!!!" Yes, but that's artwork requests. Most of these people who request me on Scratch are asking for vector rips, not art pieces, and the majority of the people I interact with on Tumblr are artists. I am not mad, I just want to let people know that I am not gonna accept vector requests from anyone. I do not care what kind of vector it is (and you know I'M NOT TAKING LOGO REQUESTS, because if you do, you are talking to the wrong person), just take the fact that I'm not doing it. Anyways that's it from me, thanks for reading!! ^-^
If y'all keep asking me requests, I would have no choice but to close my profile comments temporarily, and possibly make a project which will serve as a chatroom. If people are still asking requests in said future chatroom, they'll be deleted. If you have been supporting me since my early Scratch days (2021-2022), thank you so much for that. It's been fun with you all. Also, this is sorta the sequel to this project: https://scratch.mit.edu/projects/1233916941/ Accept the fact that I'm using my X sprite for the project, cuz I did mention that I won't be making a vector of my actual OC. Credits to Capcom for Mega Man X.
