ʜᴏᴡ ᴅᴏ ɪ ᴊᴏɪɴ? Read all the rules ( ) and visit the Litter Hub to apply for a cat ( ). Look through the different litters listed and pick one you like. Pay attention to the tagging, though. FCFS, or first come first serve, basically means anybody can have the kit as long as you apply first. S or selective means that the litter host chooses who gets the kit. SS, or semi-selective, means that some kits will be FCFS and some will be selective. Note that selective litters may have reserved kits. You can only join as a kit and cannot create your own character. You cannot role-play until your litter project is full and the leader has announced you at the Monday meeting. Your litter host should tag you when this happens. You start at one moon old. You then age one moon a week. ᴅᴏ ɪ ɴᴇᴇᴅ ᴛᴏ ʀᴇᴀᴅ ᴀʟʟ ᴛʜᴇ ʀᴜʟᴇꜱ ʙᴇꜰᴏʀᴇ ᴀᴘᴘʟʏɪɴɢ? YES. This applies to the FAQ’s as well. You need to read all five chapters, even if they don’t apply to you. This is because some rules are categorized based on who they affect, not who they apply for, so reading all the rules is essential to understanding the role-play. No. You cannot remove disabilities, change birth gender, change design, or change the name of your character. You can however develop your characters personality over time and change your characters pronouns and identification. ᴄᴀɴ ɪ ᴍᴀᴋᴇ ᴍʏ ᴄᴀᴛ ᴀ ʀᴏɢᴜᴇ, ʟᴏɴᴇʀ ᴏʀ ᴋɪᴛᴛʏᴘᴇᴛ? As of current, no. The only cats you can role-play as are clan cats. ᴄᴀɴ ᴍʏ ᴄᴀᴛ ʜᴀᴠᴇ ꜱᴘᴇᴄɪᴀʟ ᴘᴏᴡᴇʀꜱ ᴏʀ ᴀʙɪʟɪᴛɪᴇꜱ? No. We don’t want any OP characters. This includes medicine cats. ᴄᴀɴ ᴍʏ ᴄᴀᴛ ʀᴇᴄᴇɪᴠᴇ ᴘʀᴏᴘʜᴇᴄɪᴇꜱ? Medicine cats may receive prophecies from the admin at the Caverns of Dreams once a month. ᴡʜᴇɴ ᴅᴏ ᴄᴀᴛꜱ ᴀɢᴇ? After the Monday meeting they gain a moon. ʜᴏᴡ ᴅᴏ ɪ ꜰɪɢᴜʀᴇ ᴏᴜᴛ ᴍʏ ᴄᴀᴛꜱ ᴀɢᴇ? Keeping in mind that your cat starts at one moon, scroll back through the comments to the meeting that your cat was announced, and do basic math from then on to figure out your current age. ᴡʜᴀᴛ ɪꜱ ɪɴʀᴘ ᴀɴᴅ ᴏᴏʀᴘ? In role-play and out of role-play. ᴡʜᴏ ꜱᴛᴀʀᴛꜱ ᴘᴀᴛʀᴏʟ ᴀɴᴅ ᴛʀᴀɪɴɪɴɢ ᴛʜʀᴇᴀᴅꜱ? The patrol leader starts patrols and any of the warriors assigned as trainers may start training threads. ᴄᴀɴ ɪ ʀᴏʟᴇ-ᴘʟᴀʏ ʙʏ ᴍʏꜱᴇʟꜰ? Yes. Start a SRP thread and go wild. ᴄᴀɴ ɪ ᴊᴏɪɴ ᴀ ʀᴏʟᴇ-ᴘʟᴀʏ ᴀꜰᴛᴇʀ ɪᴛ’ꜱ ꜱᴛᴀʀᴛᴇᴅ? It depends on the thread opening. Since ORP’s are limited to one other player, you can’t join one of those once they have started. If you are invited to join a CRP you can join late. You can also join late in a GRP. ᴄᴀɴ ᴍʏ ᴄᴀᴛ ʙᴇ ɪɴ ᴍᴏʀᴇ ᴛʜᴀɴ ᴏɴᴇ ᴛʜʀᴇᴀᴅ ᴀᴛ ᴏɴᴄᴇ? Yes, and although there’s no strict rule limiting the amount of threads you can join, I would try to limit it to three at a time. ᴄᴀɴ ᴋɪᴛꜱ ʜᴀᴠᴇ ᴄʀᴜꜱʜᴇꜱ? No. Apprentices may crush on anyone within six moons of them, excluding kits. Only warriors, however, are permitted to go anywhere beyond an innocent crush. Warriors cannot, however, feel ANY kind of romantic affection towards apprentices, meaning apprentices may crush on warriors, however warriors cannot return those feelings until the apprentice becomes a warrior. You don’t have to have permission from another user to crush on them. You also can’t have any type of romantic interaction with anyone within the first-cousin range (grandparents, grandchildren, aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, parents, children, siblings, first cousins). ᴡʜᴇɴ ᴄᴀɴ ᴄᴀᴛꜱ ʙᴇᴄᴏᴍᴇ ᴍᴀᴛᴇꜱ? Once a cat becomes a warrior, they can mate with anyone within six moons of their given age until they reach twenty moons old, in which they can mate with cats of any age. Keep in mind apprentices and younger are off-limits for obvious reasons. If you want to become a cats’ mate, please ask the user for permission. ᴄᴀɴ ᴄᴀᴛꜱ ʜᴀᴠᴇ ᴍᴜʟᴛɪᴘʟᴇ ᴍᴀᴛᴇꜱ ᴏᴠᴇʀ ᴀ ʟɪꜰᴇᴛɪᴍᴇ? Yes. If your current mate leaves you or dies, you can get a new one. You can also have polyamorous relationships or cheat on your current mate. Just keep in mind that cheating will be treated as such INRP.
ᴄᴀɴ ᴍᴀᴛᴇꜱ ꜱᴇᴘᴀʀᴀᴛᴇ? Yes. You can divorce your mate. You also don’t have to have permission for this. ᴄᴀɴ ᴄᴀᴛꜱ ʜᴀᴠᴇ ᴋɪᴛꜱ ᴏᴜᴛꜱɪᴅᴇ ᴏꜰ ᴀ ʀᴇʟᴀᴛɪᴏɴꜱʜɪᴘ? Yes, but you must have permission from the other cat. Also, you DO need a second parent for any litter project. Again, cheating will be treated as cheating INRP. ʜᴏᴡ ᴅᴏ ɪ ʙᴇᴄᴏᴍᴇ ᴅᴇᴘᴜᴛʏ? Work hard and be active. Like in the books, you need to have mentored at least one apprentice. After a deputy dies or retires, the leader picks a cat to be the next deputy and the admin approves it. Deputies also have a required activity rate of three days a week or more. ʜᴏᴡ ᴅᴏ ɪ ʙᴇᴄᴏᴍᴇ ʟᴇᴀᴅᴇʀ? Being deputy when the current leader dies. ʜᴏᴡ ᴅᴏ ɪ ʙᴇᴄᴏᴍᴇ ᴀ ᴍᴇᴅɪᴄɪɴᴇ ᴄᴀᴛ? Ask the leader or a medicine cat to be appointed the position, either as a kit or as a warrior. ᴄᴀɴ ɪ ᴄʜᴀɴɢᴇ ᴄᴀʀᴇᴇʀ ᴘᴀᴛʜꜱ ʟᴀᴛᴇʀ? Yes, you may switch to a warrior or medicine cat as long as you are not the deputy or leader. ᴄᴀɴ ᴍʏ ᴄᴀᴛ ʀᴇᴛɪʀᴇ ᴇᴀʀʟʏ? Yes, simply tell the leader you would like to change your rank to an elder, and you’ll become one at the next Monday meeting. ᴄᴀɴ ɪ ᴄʜᴏᴏꜱᴇ ᴡʜᴇɴ ᴍʏ ᴄᴀᴛ ᴅɪᴇꜱ? You can kill off your cat at any time, although they may die due to events or other reasons without your choosing, so be aware of that. Also the admin gets permission to off your character any time, so be nice to the admin. ᴡʜᴀᴛ ʜᴀᴘᴘᴇɴꜱ ɪꜰ ɪ ʙᴇᴄᴏᴍᴇ ɪɴᴀᴄᴛɪᴠᴇ? If you fail to mark yourself active before the next meeting, you’ll be put on the inactivity watch, where if you continue to be inactive for three weeks your cat will be killed off. ᴡʜᴀᴛ ᴄᴏᴜɴᴛꜱ ᴀꜱ ʙᴇɪɴɢ ᴀᴄᴛɪᴠᴇ? Simply replying something simple like ‘present’ to the Monday meeting each week. ʜᴏᴡ ᴅᴏ ɪ ɢᴏ ᴏɴ ʜɪᴀᴛᴜꜱ? Alert the admin that you’re going on hiatus, and tell them how long. If you don’t know how long you’ll be gone, explain that and then just tell them when you’re off hiatus. ᴄᴀɴ ɪ ʀᴏʟᴇ-ᴘʟᴀʏ ᴡɪᴛʜ ᴍʏ ᴅᴇᴀᴅ ᴄᴀᴛ? No. StarClan cats are gone forever and given to the admin for events and prophecies. ᴄᴀɴ ʟɪᴠɪɴɢ ᴄᴀᴛꜱ ꜱᴇᴇ ꜱᴛᴀʀᴄʟᴀɴ? Only medicine cats and the leader can see StarClan, and only when inside the Caverns of Dreams. ᴡʜᴀᴛ ᴅᴏᴇꜱ ‘ᴅʀᴇᴀᴍᴄᴏʀᴇ’ ᴍᴇᴀɴ ɪɴ ᴛʜɪꜱ ʀᴏʟᴇ-ᴘʟᴀʏ? Dreamcore is a fever-dream inspired, slightly off-putting aesthetic that utilizes a combination of drawn art and real-life images. While the normal role-play is completely normal, StarClan and the Caverns of Dreams are Dreamcore-themed. ᴄᴀɴ ɪ ꜱᴜɢɢᴇꜱᴛ ᴇᴠᴇɴᴛꜱ ᴏʀ ᴘʟᴏᴛꜱ? You’re welcome to suggest plots and events OORP, but you cannot create your own major plot points or events INRP. ᴄᴀɴ ɪ ᴀꜱᴋ ꜰᴏʀ ᴀ ʀᴜʟᴇ ᴇxᴄᴇᴘᴛɪᴏɴ?
