" Remember " ... Eclipsingpaw had always been interested in the world beyond UrchinClan -- nothing was new about that. It's not that she didn't /like/ it in UrchinClan; the outside world was just really, /really/ fascinating. So of course, the first thing they did after receiving her apprentice name was begin to explore. When they made it to the border for the first time, they met a cat who claimed to be a part of a group called the Star's Guardians -- still again, nothing really out of the ordinary. The cat, who was named Vauge, tells her of cats that lived in StarClan and visited cats in their dreams. Ellie was intrigued by the tale. They wanted to be the best warrior that they could, so that someday, she could join the ranks of StarClan herself! But when they returned to UrchinClan, they realized that something was very, very wrong. Her clan didn't believe in StarClan. They followed the Dark Forest. Evil cats, who had wronged in life, and craved power and glory -- but the kind that was sick and twisted. Not the honor of being faithful to StarClan. Belong loyal to UrchinClan is all that mattered to El -- all that had /ever/ mattered! But if their clan truly followed such a thing so vile, so wrong... were they even the clan that Liz remembered? We all know what happens to StarClan believers in a clan of StarClan haters. They're lucky to be exiled. But if they know what's best for them, they disappear while they can. ... But Liz didn't want to disappear. And that was their mistake. The clan found out easily, and they pitted her into the arena to face the consequences of her crime. If Liz won, they'd escape and search for the Star's Guardians. The cats who would understand her. If she didn't win...she could guess. Either way, UrchinClan would remember a traitor... ...but StarClan would remember a true warrior. ___
