Cryptwings--overview Origins: Not descended from any known tribe. Live in the southwest swamps of Paraka region, but individuals can be quite widespread across the continent. Naming system: Names are chosen by one or both of the parents before the dragonet hatches, and carved into a stone, before being placed by the eggs. They are typically named after myths/mythical creatures from various cultures (see abookofcreatures.com for possible name ideas). Abilities: Thy don't typically have any abilities. They use their appearances to scare away possible enemies. When a hybrid appears, they take the appearance similar to that of a creature from that element (EX: a seawing hybrid will be a sea dwelling cryptid). Appearance: Each individual is unique. It is uncommon for two Cryptwings to look similar, even if they ae related. They typically look unsettling, but some tend to be relatively normal looking (like Manticore). Culture: They are antisocial, territorial, and solitary dragons. They live in caves or crude huts built in the dry sections of the swamp. They are often hostile to outsiders. The eggs are often left alone to hatch in the warm mud. once the eggs hatch, the dragonets typically fend for themselves, or are taken in by more friendly dragons. Food: They tend to be opportunistic omnivores, but can also be pure carnivores/herbivores. They don't often cook, but a common dish is stew made from various fruit and meats (usually fish, mangrove seeds/propagules, and huckleberries). Current known dragons- - Manticore - Ghoul
