Sokeefe: I'm only up to Lodestar. So, like in the Sophitz column, I will only be using evidence from books 1-6. Now let's get started. I have a lot to say. *Laughs manically* Sokeefe is my OTP (or OPT I don't know) and I'm going to be flat out and say: KEEFE LOVES SOPHIE! He cares about her so much! In the very first book, Keefe's voice breaks when talking about Sophie dying after she gets kidnapped. I didn't notice that with Fitz. It was more like relief, which is sweet, but it doesn't show the lasting impression that it made on Keefe. And argue all you want, but it did! I think that this is very important to recognize that from that start, Keefe would try his best to help carry Sophie's dangers as Project Moonlark. And I actually just realized this, but Keefe is the only one who really understands those burdens! He is The Lodestar Initiative! And Keefe steps aside for Sophie and Fitz, but he never really gives up. He's always hinting to Sophie that he likes her, even when he knows that she likes Fitz. The bond between their abilities is... I'm going to say it... stronger than Sophie and Fitz's Cognidentem. (I know I spelled that wrong but so what!?) The Empathy mixed with Telepathy is stronger than two Telepaths in my opinion seeing how each contributes to the other. This is my opinion and you are allowed to argue but Sokeefe is better and to me... always will be. <3! Update: 8/12/2026 I just finished Nightfall and I've found some more evidence ha-ha-ha. Keefe's feeling when enhanced by Sophie are very, very powerful. Empaths to me used to seem a bit more weak but NOW! OMG while reading Nightfall I was so impressed at what Keefe could do. And when you add Sophie's amazing abilities on top of that, they're unstoppable. And Keefe knows it too! In Nightfall he says that he says he "likes a challenge" he knows things will be hard, but he doesn't care! I think I'm yapping to much but thank you for reading!
Sophitz: I'm only up to Lodestar. Yes, I do know that Sokeefe and Sophitz are both cannon because of some VERY unfortunate spoilers leading to me knowing this stuff. But I'm only going to be using evidence from books 1-5 because it's sometimes overlooked from what I've seen, and I've found some very good proof of Sokeefe. (Yes, Sokeefe is, in my eyes, the superior ship.) We'll start with Book 1. Upon meeting Fitz, Sophie feels a fluttery feeling in her chest. This continues throughout the series, or at least up until Sophie realizes her feeling for Keefe. I honestly think that this scene is very overrated. It does NOT mean love at first sight. Fluttery feelings happen to me a lot and I'm very detached to romance in my life. I think that Sophie thought that she had a crush on Fitz for a while, but not because of his personality, mainly because of his looks and legacy as a Vacker. I think that Sophie is very nervous and feels unsafe when Fitz lashes out on her, like in Exile. I do get that Fitz was going through a traumatic time, and I appreciate that he apologized. But I also feel like because Sophie's mind wasn't working super well, Fitz took advantage of that. Fitz was also sometimes using their ongoing telepathy to annoy Keefe. Every time Fitz would have a secret conversation with Sophie, Keefe would mutter "telepaths." It's not a big thing, but I think it does show. I'm not inflicting any hate onto Fitz or Sophitz shippers, but in my opinion, Sokeefe is much better. Edit: 8/28/26 So I'm adding to the scene where Sophie develops a crush on Fitz. Based on something else I read, it makes sense that she would fall for him seeing as he was the first elf she saw and elves are naturally very beautiful. *Credit to whoever first said this I can't remember :P*
