At the time (1970's) cryogenics was a new discovery and since his family was rich... yeah. A bunch of years passed, and by then, more discoveries on cryogenics had been made, and how they had done it to him could've been better, so he was disposed of. But by then, the ice had kinda fused with him, and the disconnection from the machine gave him a shock so he revived. His body works fine though his exact biological state is unknown. He escaped the lab (After stealing a guy's pants) but when he came out he was very confused about the world he was in. One thing lead to another and he ended up meeting the current Rebels and, after hearing their goal, decided to join. And yes he can poop. That's all folks!
