── ⋅ ── Groveclan Territory Guide Hidden beneath the oldest canopy in Eldritch lies the ancient homeland of Groveclan. Their territory is a sprawling woodland of towering evergreens, ancient oaks, moss-covered ruins, winding caves, rolling hills, and sprawling root systems that have grown undisturbed for centuries. Sunlight rarely reaches the forest floor in full, filtering instead through countless layers of leaves to create an endless sea of green and gold. To many outsiders, Groveclan's forest feels alive. The trees groan softly in the wind, roots twist across every trail, and patches of glowing fungi illuminate forgotten caves long after sunset. While it may appear wild and untamed, every trail, tunnel, and clearing has been carefully maintained by generations of Earthcats. ── ⋅ ── The Land Unlike the wide-open skies of Highclan or the winding rivers of Deltaclan, Groveclan's territory is dense and layered. The forest stretches both above and below the ground. Ancient trees tower overhead, their roots weaving together to create natural bridges, tunnels, and hidden chambers beneath the earth. Hills rise gently between rocky ridges, while crystal-lined caverns and underground streams connect much of the territory beneath the surface. Many of the oldest caves have been expanded over generations, reinforced by living roots, shaped stone, and packed earth until they resemble an underground village rather than simple dens. Everywhere you look, life flourishes. ── ⋅ ── Climate Groveclan enjoys one of the most stable climates in Eldritch. • Mild summers beneath the forest canopy • Frequent rainfall • Cool, damp air year-round • Heavy morning mist • Thick snow in leaf-bare • Warm springs filled with blooming wildflowers ── ⋅ ── Traveling Many believe Groveclan's forest is impossible to navigate. For outsiders... it usually is. The woodland is filled with twisting trails, misleading landmarks, and nearly identical groves that can quickly leave unfamiliar travelers hopelessly lost. However, hidden throughout the forest are several ancient roads maintained by Groveclan. Some are little more than moss-covered stone paths littered in crystal lamps, while others wind through caves or follow forgotten riverbeds. These routes eventually connect to every neighboring clan. Envoys and peaceful visitors are typically guided along these paths rather than left to wander alone. ── ⋅ ── Notable Landmarks ✧ Eldervale The oldest grove in all of Eldritch, where trees so massive their branches disappear into the canopy have stood for countless generations. Groveclan believes some of these trees were already ancient when Eldra first divided the land. ✧ Thornhollow A vast sinkhole hidden beneath dense vegetation. Within lies an enormous underground forest nourished by glowing moss, crystal-lined pools, and shafts of sunlight breaking through the earth above. ✧ Vaelgrove An immense circular clearing surrounded by towering standing stones older than any known clan. Every stone is covered in moss, vines, and symbols so weathered that no cat remembers their meaning. Many ceremonies are held here. ✧ The Myrroot Warrens An endless network of natural tunnels weaving beneath the forest floor. Though mapped by Groveclan, many passages remain unexplored. ✧ Lunara Springs Crystal-clear pools fed by underground aquifers. The water is said to possess remarkable healing qualities, though most simply believe its purity comes from the untouched earth. ✧ The Hollow Crown An enormous fallen tree whose trunk is so vast that entire patrols can walk through its center. Moss blankets every inch of the ancient giant, and flowers bloom along its bark throughout Greenleaf. ✧ The Mossveil Rolling hills completely carpeted in thick emerald moss. Sound is strangely muffled here, making the entire area feel almost sacred.

To Groveclan, it is constantly speaking. Every broken twig, shifting root, bird call, and gust of wind tells a story. Warriors learn to read the forest almost as fluently as they read one another. They know where mushrooms bloom after rain, which roots hide hidden tunnels, and which trees have stood long enough to earn names of their own. Life here rewards patience. Hunts are careful, paths are remembered rather than marked, and knowledge is passed from elder to apprentice as faithfully as the seasons themselves. The forest is more than Groveclan's home. It is their oldest ancestor, their greatest teacher, and a living reminder that strength is measured not only by what endures but by what continues to grow.
