── ⋅ ── Character Design Guide One of the most exciting parts of joining LOERP is designing your character! While there's plenty of room for creativity, every clan has evolved to survive in a very different environment. Your design should immediately look like it belongs where your cat was born. Think of these as **guidelines**, not restrictions. Every cat is unique, but they should still be recognizable as a member of their clan. ── ⋅ ── General Rules ✔ Every design must clearly belong to its clan. ✔ Adaptations should be visible, even if subtle. ✔ Do not argue with an admin if they reach out about a non-acceptable design or parts of a design. ✔ No unnatural, crazy neon coat colors. Pelts must still be natural (the exception being the bleached out ember tufts of Ashclan cats). ── ⋅ ── Highclan Height: Min. 20 inches Max. 25 inches Average. 22-23 inches Build: - Lightweight - Lean muscle Coat Color: • White • Cream • Silver • Grey • Sandy • Fawn • Tawny • Brown • Bi-color Eye Color: • Blue • Grey • Gold • Amber • Yellow • Green Coat Length: • Short • Medium • Feathered Required Adaptations: ✔ Long legs ✔ Long feathered tail ✔ Large ears ✔ Lean build ✔ Stretching skin between the front and hind legs ✔ Long whiskers ✔ Feather-like ear tufts ✔ Slightly hooked nose/long faces Not Allowed: ✘ Heavy-bodied builds ✘ Very short legs ✘ Tiny ears ✘ Thick, bulky tails ✘ Extremely broad shoulders ── ⋅ ── Groveclan Height: Min. 12 inches Max. 15 inches Average. 13-14 inches Build: - Compact (muscle) - Broad - Powerful - Dense Coat Color: • Brown • Chocolate • Black • Grey • Cream • Tawny • Calico • Tortoiseshell • White (markings) • Bi-color Eye Color • Green • Olive • Amber • Brown • Hazel • Purple • Pink Coat Length: - Every length is common. - Their coats are often dense and thick. Not Allowed: ✘ Long full-length tails ✘ Extremely tiny frames ✘ Very pale overall coats ── ⋅ ── Designing Tips The best designs don't rely on lots of colors or accessories. Instead, think about silhouette. Could someone recognize your cat as a member of their clan just by looking at the outline? A Highclan cat should feel tall and graceful. A Groveclan cat should look sturdy and rooted. A Deltaclan cat should appear streamlined and built for water. An Ashclan cat should look powerful, resilient, and capable of surviving harsh environments. If the answer is yes, you've probably designed a cat that truly belongs in Eldritch!
