The Grand Garden of Kamwing, Daai Faa Jyun, is an LAESCO heritage site, a remnant of ancient Jinzhaoyi history in Nam-Kam-Wan. The city around it was constructed to accommodate and to maintain the garden. Gamfuk City is the administrative heart of Nam-Kam-Wan, with the government moving there in 1977 amid political reorganization. Old Kamwing City serves as the commercial heartland, preserving the history of colonial-era settlements, particularly Fort Derendal. New Kamwing City is a massive project developed much later in the city's lifetime, starting in 1962. It was largely to accommodate the rather densely populated Old Kamwing City. The North Street New Towns were largely settled by non-Namkamese and non-Neuvellonian citizens, either those from mainland Jinzhao or from Europia. The ethnic composition of the area describes roughly 73.1% Han Jinzhaoyi, 11.3% Teutonian, 4.2% Albish, and 11.4% of other various Rheic and Europian populations. The Northern Village Dependencies are largely built up by wealthier suburban neighborhoods; tourism in the area is largely from nearby mountains.
