Monochromedownpour’s Lesson List 《Introduction》 Monochromedownpour, the DeltaClan envoy, is also a member of DeltaClan’s Circle of Mentors. She loves to teach apprentices in her specialized areas, and would love to teach you! If you choose Monochrome as one of your mentors, I’d ask you to choose one of the lessons from the list below. It doesn’t matter which one you choose, there is no prerequisite. It will be assumed that your apprentice already knows the skills, regardless of age. ((For example, you could take Navigation II without having taken Navigation I)) 《About the Mentor》 Monochromedownpour often goes by Mono, as it is shorter and easier to say. She uses she/her pronouns as well. Mono specializes in night patrols, water rescue, navigation by waterways, and of course, lessons pertaining to the other Clans that call Eldritch home. 《The Lessons》 * = assessment-based 《Section I: Night Patrols》 - Night Patrol I: The Basics. This lesson will take place during the day, outside of the DeltaClan camp, and go over safety and how it’s typically done. - Night Patrol II: In Practice. This lesson will take place at night, and the apprentice will learn how to do a night patrol with Mono by their side. - Night Patrol III: Dangers. Another daytime lesson, which will teach the apprentice how to do night patrols in more dangerous environments, such as faster rivers or rainstorms. - Night Patrol IV: In Practice, Alone.* At night, Mono will send the apprentice on a basic night patrol, alone, and will watch from the bushes. When completed, she will give tips on how they could have improved. - Night Patrol V: Dangers at Night.* In the final level of night patrol, she will take them to a more dangerous area at night. They will not go alone, but the lesson will be mainly apprentice-led. 《Section II: Water Rescue》 (Can be done independently or with a friend!) - Water Rescue I: Basic Safety. They will go over common hazards in the water, how to avoid danger, and how to discern if another cat needs help. - Water Rescue II: Unable to Swim. The apprentice will learn how to help a cat that is unable to swim properly, such as an outsider or young kit, and take them safely to shore. - Water Rescue III: Undertow and Currents. In this lesson, apprentices will be taught how to rescue a cat who is being pulled along by a current or undertow without putting themselves in danger. - Water Rescue IV: Scenarios.* In the final level of lessons, the apprentice will be given a water rescue scenario that they must properly respond to. If done in a group, each apprentice will be given a different scenario. 《Section III: Navigation by Waterways》 - Navigation I: The Safest Paths. Apprentices will go on a territory tour with Monochrome, and will learn which rivers and waterways are the safest and most reliable for travelling. - Navigation II: Directions. Apprentices will learn how to use the currents, wind directions, and landmarks to tell which direction they are travelling and how to get back to camp. - Navigation III: Navigation at Night. In this lesson, apprentices will be taught how to navigate waterways, even familiar ones, at night, and what to look for if they get lost. - Navigation IV: Test Time.* In this final lesson, the apprentice will be required to travel to a specific location in DeltaClan’s territory, without any help from Mono. The mentor will swim beside them, just in case they get lost. 《Section IV: Clans》 - Clans I: DeltaClan. Apprentices will be taught a brief history of their homeclan, as well as the cultures and beliefs surrounding it. - Clans II: GroveClan. Apprentices will learn about forest-dwelling GroveClan cats, their territory, and their beliefs. - Clans III: HighClan. In this lesson, Monochrome will teach apprentices everything they need to know about the cliff-dwelling Clan. - Clans IV: AshClan. This lesson will focus on the cats that live within a fiery habitat, their history, and everything else. - Clans V: Pop Quiz!* Monochrome will quiz your apprentice on the other Clans. There will be two questions per Clan, making for a total of eight questions. It’s recommended that you take at least one Clans lesson before this, but it’s not a hard quiz if you know your stuff. 《The Form》 To request a training roleplay with Mono, please fill out this form in the comments: Character Name // username // what lesson? // how many apprentices?
