I don't think I drew Mephone very accurately, but I have some older art of him in some art dumps that work better. There's a bunch of timeline slides I removed, only because I'm still working on the story + IIR is intended for older audiences and it may not all be Scratch friendly. Some things to note about this AU: >Anyone outside of the main competitors, Box, the egg Fan raised, and the main phones/drones shown in canon do not exist in this AU. That means any guest contestants or upgraded phones besides Mephone4S/Droid are replaced with OCs. >The contestants are humans rather than objects, and can only die once like in our world. Then, they're gone forever. It's drones that can be rebuilt, so pretty much the opposite of canon. >Mephone DID NOT create the humans. This is the single biggest change to this AU. He simply selected them out of thousands of signatures based of how close they were to his OCs. The contestants have parents, backstories, and lives outside of the show. >Inanimate Island got it's name from having very little wildlife native to it. It's a territory of Florida, and a village lives of the east side of the isle. >The way the canon seasons went were way different and had less harmful events, as Mephone's personality is more caring and human loving. He ends up sending them to a bad resort on accident, where Paper gets attacked by a shark. I feel the way his mental health was portrayed in canon was terrible, so instead I gave him PTSD (I have it) and flashback related outbursts that can involve aggression. He's not evil, just misunderstood. >Most of the contestants have "real" names (Nickel's real name is Nicholas for example,) but people often go by object names on television to protect their identity. It's usually related to something they find symbolic. Not all contestants do this, though, and it's optional. Some people actually do have object names though (Silver S. Rutherford, for example.) Names like Steve Cobs are normal, and names like "Orange Juice" are not. (His name is Oliver Jackson Bryant.) >Instead of there being just one Mephone4, multiple lines of drones were produced, abused and sold in mass. Our Mephone was THE prototype of all drones being sold to everyday people. Cobs is obsessed with keeping them "in line" and sells the idea they aren't sentient when they are. >The aliens in this AU are called "Terashians," can speak English if they'd like, look like elves and have tails. (If that sounds familiar, yes, they're also from TPIC/IC, their furry versions look like deer.) >Meafterlife isn't a thing. Instead, if the drones stop working, their data is sent to a massive database called "The Cloud," where they live in a virtual reality paradise. They don't have needs and they are either left there forever, or can be moved into a new body (or their repaired old one) with admin access. (That's how Mephone, Droid and MePad were all revived in this AU.) >Simply spoilers for canon season 2: How did Box die? Box accidentally drowned off the coast of Inanimate Island. Mephone was in medical training and knew CPR, and tried to revive her, but he failed. It was labeled in the media as a tragedy. Mephone decided to honor her my making her a "contestant" by having a rusty robot he made compete for her. >Lastly, IIR takes place in the 2080's, and the world is in a "Peace era" where there's no wars or famine. The biggest issue is global warming and overpopulation, and people stay inside and sleep during the day during the summer down south and in the Midwest. Temperatures can get up to a dangerous 140 degrees F during the day. Inanimate Insanity takes place in the late fall through the winter (October-December) to prevent this, where temperatures usually stay around the 80's.
Where have I been? I was going to make a separate project for that, but I wanted this project to get more views, so I'll explain here. Family stuff, good family stuff. Vacation, visits, sleepovers, just me being human.
