i got lazy and didn't draw the bg at all btw pre-mesmerizing now has an actual name, which is: Deltarune: A Very Familiar Knight (sans POV) lore: papyrus is (was) the knight before this particular weird route, as every timeline after this is (mostly) normal deltarune due to papyrus's role getting downgraded to a minor character due to being freshly amalgamated, kriselle knight looks a bit different. it had used X-slash to annihilate almost all of susie's max HP, meaning she can't heal the shadow damage anymore. snowgrave was used on papyrus, but he lived because sans used bone walls to defend everyone from most of the cold. if the bg actually existed, it'd be snowing heavily.
