basically you get a mastery by winning a game as the killer you are plying as 3 times. simple, i know the masteries also have lore evil king: evil log's entire goal is to turn everyone evil and make them workers for him, he succeeded at this and is a lot more serious now powermaniac: still chuckleduckle, but he reached his full potential (which is enough to kill about 5 luogs) and is now truly a maniac (base chuckleduckle is very weak compared to this guy, since chuckleduckle doesnt have a really firm grip on his power yet and misuses it for the smallest inconviences)
at this point we NEED a wiki for L:TA it contains so much info i cant even keep track of it all
