Here are many causes to this condition. In Seer’s case, it is congenital. Cats with one blue eye (like seer) have a higher likelihood to be deaf on the side the blue eye is in. Individuals with single sided deafness struggle with localizing sound, since localizing sound is heavily dependent on hearing out of both ears.
