Hello! Don't look here, just look in the notes and credits! Art drawn by me with a computer mouse (rip clean lines)
I've contemplated leaving Scratch for a while, and I think I've made a decision. I'm not going to. *please stick around I've got more to say* I've been getting restless being on Scratch for a little while. When I first started, I wanted to do everything--art contests, coding, voice acting, but now it's lost its appeal. I've been wondering why for a little. I took a month-long break from all social media (and screens!) while I was at summer camp. And while summer camp itself was a doozy, I mostly enjoyed it. But as for being off screens, I had time to think about it there. While at home I felt creatively and artistically lacking in ideas, I didn't at all at camp. Pens, pencils, markers, papers, notebooks--all of it helped me come up with ideas and create. I don't think I'll be sharing anything I created at camp here on Scratch. While I was at camp, I made things just for me. And while I could share that art, having things offline just for me, friends, and family, is a good thing. Anyways, I was restless on Scratch. Firstly, it got harder to upload once my school blocked Scratch and I had to jump through a ton of hoops to get my art up on here. So, that took a lot of effort. Secondly, I didn't really want to participate in any DMCs, audition for any voice acting projects, join any MAPs, or make any fanart. It took me an embarrassingly long time to figure out what I did want to do: I wanted to make my own stuff. And while I was at camp, I came up with a ton of ideas for my own stuff. I want to create original things. Firstly for me, and then share what I make on Scratch as a courtesy. I don't want to be in the headspace of making things for Scratch, because then I get overwhelmed and lose motivation. And again, it's nice to make things for just you sometimes. Now, I'll talk about what's next as for ongoing projects, and new ones. -As for all the voice acting projects I auditioned for, I will take roles if they are given to me, but I'll drop out if there are more callbacks. -I'm dropping out of a big singing contest I'm in, because I realized I'm only in it for the pgs, and I don't want that. -I'm staying in Vocal Vanguards, because I participated last season, and it's just for funzies and bragging rights. :) -So, I've had an Enchante Switched Fates MAP that I'm hosting going on for a little while. While I'm not giving up on it, I won't be inviting any more people to join. Those who find it naturally can still do it. If we get all the parts filled, I will put it together. -I don't think I'll be joining any new art contests. Alright, new projects! These are exciting! Firstly, I'm making my own comic! I've...tried to in the past, and it hasn't gone very well. Which is why, this time, I'm planning everything AND creating a huge backlog of chapters to A) Make sure I finish, and B) Get everything out on time! I'll make a project about it in more detail once the school year starts. For now, I'll just say that it's called The Sparrowlight Society. This is on my own time and I'm not sure if I'll share any of it on Scratch, but I am writing a book! I've been searching for a good idea for a while, and I finally found one, so I'll be turning said idea into something! I came up with an idea for a massive, soul-sucking animated pilot. It's taking a backseat to my other ideas for now, but if I do ever get around to it (I hope I do!), I'll be setting up a VA casting call on Scratch. I might share some designs and small animations about it once the school year starts. I had a silly idea for an animated short film that's a lot less soul-sucking than a pilot. It's also taking a little bit of a backseat for now, but I do want to start working on it some time this school year, and I will be putting up a voice acting casting call on Scratch! it'salsoamusicalwhosaidthatnotme Going to be setting up a YT channel with some animations and animatics, some of which I will put links to or sections of on Scratch. You've probably heard some variation of "once the school year starts" a lot on here, which is because I'm taking this summer to plan and just create for me. So, see you then, and thanks for sticking around to here! :)
