Byte has lived in the "Machine" for as long as he can remember. He helps to repair the giant computer when it breaks down. But he's almost always alone, he talks to himself a lot. He's never had a friend, unless you want to count Viru as a friend. Although, very few do. O.O Did @Painted-Pupper just love this.
