By: Echo This is the story of two rouges. A rouge named Shimmer (gold cat) and a cat named Wood (brown cat) were the best of friends, they hunted together and shared a den. They had become very close and became mates. On evening while Wood was guarding the den, two full grown badgers came by! Wood shrieked for help but Shimmer could not fight! She was carrying kits! She ran for help but found no one, when she returned she had found Wood had driven out the badgers, but he was wounded. She sat with him the whole night until he died. She had her kits alone in the den they once shared, the first born was a tom and he had the same color as Wood, but small gold stripes. She named him Oak for that was what their den was, an oak log. Her second was a tiny she-cat, she named her Star, for she had a glimmering golden pelt.
