The Scratch Awards - About: ---------------------------------------------------- The Scratch Awards are a collection of awards given to the most skilled scratchers each year. The awards were started in 2026 by @_TheScratchAwards as a way to recognize all the skill on scratch! The Scratch Awards have 3 categories, Top Game Creators, Top Animators, and Top Artists. Each category has an award for 1st, 2nd and 3rd. ---------------------------------------------------- How Can I Get An Award? ---------------------------------------------------- Edit: If you want to learn more about awards you can win go here: https://scratch.mit.edu/projects/1364849554/ Getting an award requires you to go through 3 stages, the first stage is The Nomination Stage where you need 5 individual scratchers (not including yourself) to nominate you for a single category, if you get 5 nominations you move onto the next stage, The Submission Stage, you then need to submit the best project you have made in the year (for example if you have been nominated for Best Animation in 2026 you have to submit the link to an animation you made in 2026 not in 2025 or before) once your project is submitted it will be reviewed by the judges and given a score out of 10, there are 10 judges, @_TheScratchAwards will judge all entries, 3 judges for each category will be selected to give their opinion and score, your project will only be judged by its category judges, not all 10 and given a score out of 40 (10 from and 10 from each of the 3 category judges) The final stage will be The Awards Stage where people are told wether they placed and what place they got. ---------------------------------------------------- Where Can I Get Nominated Or Become A Judge? ---------------------------------------------------- Nominations as well as Judge Applications start on August 1st around 12 EST and end September 30th this year, Judge Applications also start on August 1st and end when all 10 spots are full. ---------------------------------------------------- What Should I Do Now? ---------------------------------------------------- Right now you are encouraged to tell your community about The Scratch Awards as you will have a better chance to reach 5 nominations when people who already follow you know about the awards. ---------------------------------------------------- Notes, Credits & Project Links ---------------------------------------------------- Nominations: (project not yet released) Judge Applications: (project not yet released) Note For Possible Judges: If you become a judge you may not be nominated for any awards even if they are outside of the category you are judging Note For Possible Winners: You may be nominated for multiple categories, however if you reach 5 nominations in 2 or more different categories by September 30th you must pick 1 of them to be judged on. [Another] Note For Possible Winners: If you place top 3 in any categories you are expected to display an icon on the thumbnail of future projects, icons will be provided once winners are announced. You will also be expected to display something like this: ?
