EPISODE 1: https://scratch.mit.edu/projects/1335430823 KINGDOM PALACE, 9:00: Magu sat down in his palace room in the dark, hugging his legs on the bed, thinking about what Peri said earlier. Maybe he didn't give a good first impression, but they've only met today, maybe he didn't try hard enough. Osiris opened his door. "Magu, the kingdom festival is starting soon". "My father said it was a good idea for you to go with me and Peri, he wants you guys get to know each other better". "Okay" Magu answered. He wondered if this was a second chance to change Peri's mind. As Magu and Osiris walked towards the palace entrance, they striked up a conversation. "Magu, I'm not good with talking, but I wanted to let you know things are better than how they seem "."When I joined you and your friends on your odyssey to stop Lyric, it made me realize there's more to life than honor". "Snow, Chuck, and Elise are gone for now, but the royal family and I are with you, and that's a step up from living in the woods of Chun-nan". Magu grinned. As he and Osiris stepped out of the palace, they were met with a stubborn Peri, and hundreds of camera flashes. Citizens were shaking the gates, eager to see Magu, when he finally thought he would start a more peaceful life, but Magu respected their presence. "It's about time you two showed up, I'm about to go blind from these mindless reporters!". Peri rubbed her eyes. Peri had an idea "If you're a dragon, can't you just fly me and Osiris over these numbskulls?" "Uhh, well the thing is... I never flew in my life" Peri shot an awfully concerning face at Magu, as if someone had just yelled out calling her a clod. "I can try something" Magu answered. Magu walked up to the gate, and confidently shot fire out of his mouth up into the air, hoping it would get the crowd to settle down, but the crowd only roared louder. Sweat ran down his face, he was getting more anxious about ruining everyone's time. Steven quickly hassled in his Limo to pull up to the gate and pick them up. Peri somehow spit out a sentence without thinking of it "Maybe the universe isn't against us after all, thanks Steven". Magu and the royal family awkwardly glanced back at the crowd. Somehow, the crowd could hear Peri's word in a sound cloud of chaos, and all roared a dreadful question in unison. "WHO'S STEVE-" Gimmick was searching for Saline across the city in a panic, he tried searching every trashcan, and store. thankfully, everyone was attracted to the palace to try and get a glimpse of Magu. Meanwhile, Steven quickly got Magu and the royal siblings into his Limo, and anxiously drove off, before anyone was tempted to cross the gates. Everyone in the Limo was shocked to hear Steven speaking up. "The king has rented you three a rooftop in the center of the town, it should keep you away from these low class clods". Magu was staring at the crowd from the back window, who were tripping each other up running down the street. he has never seen so much people out to get him before, he even grew concerned. Soon, they arrived at the restaurant with the rooftop. They managed to quietly walk inside, as the crowd was still lagging several yards behind. Magu had never seen such a tall building before. The fancy people inside had the audacity to stare at Magu for a split second, before coming to their senses to act distracted. The flamingo waiter excitedly greeted them. "The rental for your party is on the top floor Mr. Steven, let me lead you to the elevator". As they went up the floors on the elevator, the waiter almost broke free from his politeness about being around such royals. Once they got up to the roof, the waiter directed them to a table. "when your party is ready to order, feel free to ring the bell, I will then join you shortly to hear your orders. The waiter went back to the elevator. Steven suddenly had his eyes on the waiter, he recognized him. Steven muttered "Greg?" On the streets of the kingdom, Gimmick finally spotted Saline gazing in the middle of a shoe store. He gasped. "Oh, hey there Gimmick!" "you wouldn't believe what I found up here!" "Saline, we seriously have to go back to the sewers, our father Lyric is planning-" A giant explosion came from a building nearby. It was caused by the new mech Lyric mentioned. "Saline, take my hand!" Gimmick cried. Saline nodded. Gimmick rushed Saline down the street, he valued keeping Saline safe more than staying alive himself, Lyric assigned him to protect her, but Gimmick has grown close to her, like a brother. Saline and Gimmick doged the other people running away in terror, but the mech shot at a barrel of oil right behind them. As the barrel exploded, Gimmick was launched forward into a nearby tree, while Saline was launched through the window of a nearby building, and went unconscious. (continue in notes and credits)
On the resturant rooftop, Magu felt like he was having the time of his life. He gobbled down an entire cheeseburger and fries seconds after the waiter served it. Magu, Osiris, and Peri started to realize fires coming from buildings a few blocks away, and the mech. Peri questioned "Is it seriously our job to take care of this?" Steven joined in their debate "Something tells me the cops won't end this catastrophe in time". Peri moaned "fiiiiinnnnnee". Saline woke up inside a building on fire, and was surrounded by glass shards. Somehow, she didn't feel hurt. Saline started to gradually sense the loud noises bouncing around her. She tried to get up, but her leg was caught under a refrigerator. She struggled to lift up the fridge, as lightning started to surround her. Saline gave up, and screamed with all her might helplessly. Magu was outside fighting the mech with the royal sibilings. After Magu violently shattered one of it's eyes. He heard a distant scream under all the chaos. His face jumped with shock. "Osiris, Peri! I have to save someone!" Peri felt shocked, as Magu dived down to the sidewalk, were her parents right after all? Magu rushed through the building's doors. The building looked empty thankfully, but then Magu heard a cry from the kitchen. As Magu rushed towards the source, he dodged falling wooden pillars from above. Magu managed to jump through a tight ring of fire on the upcoming door, where spinning protected him. Magu stuck the landing onto the cold, tiled floor. Saline screamed for his help across the room. Magu quickly confronted her. "Are you okay?" "I think so." "Let me help you out of here" As Magu and Saline both lifted up the fridge, he felt a slight surge of power, but not from him. The fridge almost fell the other way. Fire started to bleed into the room, and the ceiling started to fall down onto them. Magu realized it was impossible to go back to the entrance, but saw a window nearby. Magu reached for Saline "Take my hand". In those moments Saline suddenly looked intrigued about Magu, like there were butterflies in her stomach. What was this feeling? She had no clue. When Saline took his hand, Magu bolted towards the closest window, kicking rubble away in his jump. As they hopped out, the building behind them exploded, but Magu managed to get Saline into his arms, and landed feet first onto the street. As Peri gave the mech it's final blow, she had her eyes on Magu. Peri suddenly started to feel different about him, she started to think he was worthy afterall, and how he proved her wrong. Saline briefly gazed back at Magu, before jumping off of him. "Thank you" Saline told him. Magu watched Saline run away, something seemed unique about her. The police started to surround the area, as Magu and the royal siblings started to walk away. Osiris chuckled "At least tonight wasn't a total bust". Magu joked "Lets go back to that restaurant for more food, I think Steven is still up there". A human cop with a badge saying "Tom" stopped them, Peri even jumped. Tom said "Where I'm from, we respect people with a big heart, you should take this scarf in our appreciation Magu, we're thankful for you and your friends filling in for us tonight". Magu graciously held the blue scarf in his hands as he stared back at Tom walking away. He loved it so much, and he didn't know how went so far without it. SEWERS 11:00PM: Gimmick quickly lead Saline back home, only to the greeted by Lyric at the entrance. "Where were you two, I was worried sick!" Lyric shouted with a disappointed and angry face. Gimmick struggled to clear his mind and say something, but Saline realized it was wrong to sneak out, so she spoke up. "Please don't punish Gimmick! This is my fault for leaving during the festival, he was just looking out for me when he saw I was gone!" Lyric acted slightly surprised. "I guess I can't blame him after all, but Saline, I hope you learned your lesson up there, the surface isn't meant for us". For some reason, that gave Saline an idea. "Okay, I have good news and bad news"." The bad news is that I met the hero Magu you-" Lyric's eyes started to retract. "But the good news is that he thinks I'm just an average person on the surface". Lyric chuckled. "We could work with this opportunity after all Saline!" Saline started to feel guilty, whose side was she on now? ____________ Tom is only the continuation of me adding characters from other Sonic media into the Magu sub-universe, while still trying to follow the canon of the mainline Sonic games. The crowd was inspired by the noisy kids at the BFDI X II meetup tours, they seriously need to calm down, or they can stay home and wait a month for the Youtube premiers (I never go on the tours, I hate waiting and I want to watch the leaks instead).
