The Sultanate of Aussa is probably one of the smallest nations in Hearts Of Iron 4, it is also my new meme nation- It was founded in the 1700s after the last dynasty ruling their local area collapsed. They ruled all the way until 1936, when Italy invaded. In 1875, the Egyptians invaded, and despite being heavily outnumbered, they absolutely defeated the Egyptians, even killing their commander. They were one of the most prominent in the Horn of Africa, and were one of the last to be colonized. Their official currency was just salt- That's what they used for trading, is salt- :D Despite being small, they control trade in the region, had strong leadership and had a fierce military. Nothing could stop them (Except maybe Italian tanks, but shh-). They were very wealthy, due to both having very fertile lands for crops, as well as being in control of trade. My friend had asked me what my favourite nation was, so I looked up the smallest countries in HOI4, and instead of saying the generic "Luxembourg", I went "AUSSA-"
