-《 Heavy WIP! Send feedback and your thoughts and plans for this and I'll do some modifications based off of it! 》- -《 I don't even know if I should be in charge of making projects for these mechanics so if Olly is supposed to be doing these things please let me know! 》- -《 This is an ideas project, not a guide. It used to be called a guide but I may not be in charge of this and this project is just to share how the EXP mechanic may work! Feedback and your thoughts are very welcome! 》- ⋆------------------------------------------⋆ introduction Here's my thoughts on how the EXP mechanic will work! Most of the description was when I called this project a guide, but I don't know if I'm really in charge of all of that. Anyways, enjoy! "EXP is a very important part of the cats of the Illuminated WCRP, as it can help them do certain actions better, including making difficult actions easier. Some cats may allow you to do things based on EXP as well, so if you want your character to do more, get EXP! (and exchange it for other skills, too! more on that below...)" - TheBluebellMeadow (when this was called a guide) ▪------------------------------------------▪ how to gain it "EXP can be gained from a lot of ways, being easy earlier in your character's life and getting harder as a full member of the Clan. Here's how to grab those points!" - TheBluebellMeadow - Playing a game (usually kit games): +1 EXP - Talking to an elder: +1 EXP - Talking to a highrank: +1 EXP - Playfighting and winning: +2 EXP - Doing a thing that's restricted/not allowed (for example, hunting/getting out of camp as a kit, stealing, and a bunch more): +3 EXP - Participating in a kit group (it must have been active for 2 weeks and have some sort of lore going on) (maximum of 1 exp per week from this): +1 EXP - Doing a Clan tradition (more on that later please help me): +2 EXP - Fighting anyone and winning: +3 EXP - Creating a new landmark/expanding territory/finding something significant: +3 EXP - Training with your mentor/being trained: +1 EXP - Just talking to your mentor or being talked to by your apprentice as a mentor: +1 EXP - Training with someone that's not your mentor (apprentices only, learning a new skill and same-path (warrior apprentices get trained warrior things and m.apprentices get trained medic things) preferred): +1 EXP - Healing a cat (stays the same or gets worse): +1 EXP - Healing a cat successfully: +2 EXP - Healing a cat (but you're not a medic) (result does not matter): +2 EXP [------------------------------------------] what it can do Here's my ideas of what EXP can do to characters: "EXP can help give a better chance of achieving specific actions, found below (I would probably need some help with that though so please send some ideas of actions based off of EXP/intel/power!). Some cats may prefer cats with higher amount of EXP (or other sorts of points, more on that later) so getting EXP will be pretty helpful if your character wants to contribute a lot to the Clan. (I'm also thinking that EXP can help have a better chance of gaining some types of sidekicks, but I'll need some feedback on that!) EXP can also be exchanged for intelligence and power points. (Maybe medical points? This is a new points idea I brought up for a medics' version of power but that'll need some feedback first.) To learn more about them, visit the notes and credits!" - TheBluebellMeadow EXP could be used for these actions: - doing something that's not allowed - catching prey/going on patrols - fighting someone - healing cats - taking a difficult action - getting a sidekick/companion (feedback please here) - being decided for special jobs/becoming a highrank - etc. . . (please helpp) EXP can just simply calculate the chances of completing the action, or go into more depth, for example, in a patrol, higher EXP gives a higher chance for a calmer and less annoying patrol, lower EXP may cause less prey and potential damage from predators/rogues, and it can also be in between, but EXP would mainly be about the chances, not "a set amount of EXP to do this" EXP can also be exchange for: - Intelligence: calculates the intelligence of a character (obviously!) It can be used for more stealth/sneaky/difficult actions such as stealing prey (and stuff like that), tresspassing, fighting(? could be more on power), StarClan stuff(?) (if you're a medic) - Power: can be used to calculate the strength/stealth of a character. It can be used for hunting prey/patrols, fighting, etc. - Medical points(? I just made this up as another way to exchange EXP into so it's technically not official yet): like power, but for medics, as they don't really rely on power. Calculates how good they are in medic-based jobs. Could be used for healing, StarClan stuff(?), other medic-based jobs, etc. ✲------------------------------------------✲ intel/power/med in the n&c's!
EXP can basically do everything that intelligence, power and medical points can do, so these points are basically EXP boosts in their niche. Intelligence points can be useful for characters taking any path (warrior or medic). They could help with difficult or stealth-based actions, such as: - stealing, tresspassing, other unallowed actions - going to or taking risky actions that could cause injury or loss - healing or stuff related to StarClan (in some way, although this may be more covered by medical points) - getting picked for special jobs/highrank - getting a sidekick(?) It can usually be obtained by exchanging EXP for it, although it may be naturally collected by: - talking to elders or highranks: +1 INT - being trained by someone: +1 INT - doing a Clan tradition: +1 INT (?) - etc. . . Power points are very important for warriors doing their job as it calculates their strength (Power may mean having more control over something? Please let me know if that's the case). It can usually help in: - hunting prey/fighting - protection of something - getting picked for special jobs or becoming a highrank - etc. . . It is mainly collected by exchanging EXP for it, but it may be collected by: - being trained by someone (must be related to fighting and power-related stuff): +1 POW - fighting someone and winning: +1 POW - etc, etc... Medical points may be used with intelligence as a medic version of power. It may be used for: - healing - getting StarClan visions, giving a leader 9 lives, etc. - etc. . . basically anything medic-related As always, it can be collected through EXP, or naturally: - getting trained by someone (must be medic-related): +1 MED - healing someone successfully: +1 MED - etc. . . Basically, intelligence is for any cats, power can be for warriors and medicals can be for medics. They can be exchanged for EXP but there are a few ways where they can be directly gained. EXP may do what the other points can do, but those other points give a good boost to the skills they support. ⁎------------------------------------------⁎ thanks for reading ₊*.꙳°‧✯
