Before the Impact is a realistic dinosaur survival game set in the final days before the Cretaceous–Paleogene (K–Pg) extinction. The world is based on real paleontology: authentic plants, accurate dinosaur behavior, and ecosystems modeled from fossil evidence. As you play, you experience the actual environmental changes scientists know happened before the asteroid struck. Volcanic activity from the Deccan Traps released massive amounts of carbon dioxide and sulfur, causing climate instability. Sea levels were shifting, ecosystems were stressed, and many species were already declining. When the asteroid hit near modern‑day Yucatán, it released energy equal to billions of nuclear bombs, triggering global wildfires, shockwaves, earthquakes, and a “impact winter” caused by dust blocking sunlight.
