BEFORE WE START, DO NOT HARASS ANYONE. DO NOT HARASS THE DEVS OR ANYONE ELSE FOR THAT MATTER. It is NOT THAT SERIOUS. Ok, so if you weren't aware, a patch was recently rolled out, where hitboxes were adjusted. Saucefy stated: "I decreased the hitbox velocity compensation for those who were complaining about it, if you don't like it as is either maybe they weren't so bad afterall". As stated by o_Anemone on YT: this does seem quite petty, but Saucefy could be using what is known as the 'compliance method' - where a drastic change is brought about which angers the community and the change is then reverted or lessened, making the community think "maybe it wasn't so bad in the first place". I personally am not a fan of this change, not just because it ruins gameplay for literally 4 killers (seriously hitboxes come from behind you now, you have a better chance of hitting someone behind you), but because this seems like a careless change. However I am able to look past this and understand using this 'compliance method', because the devs have just released the largest update to the game ever, and could likely be burnt out, which explains using this method and the (small amount of) frustration that can be inferred from saucefy's message. I personally believe that - IF this is what saucefy is trying to do - this method is only to make people tolerant with the hitboxes (when reverted) for a certain amount of time while the devs rest and/or make additional changes. Another reason this worries me is because - even though the message likely does NOT have the intent of being petty and mean - SOME people will interpret it as that, and harass devs and start drama. This is concerning because I love this game, and I support the devs, and don't want to see it fall to drama like so many others. People who harass developers are NOT real fans, you can not convince me otherwise. Do the harassers really want to see the game improve if they are harassing the people who will bring about those changes?? Childish. Although I personally can look past these changes, I know others can't.
I didn't really mind the hitboxes to begin with, they were a bit annoying but I didn't mind too much. In case you thought so, you are not suddenly terrible at the game. Don’t start losing your mind like I did when I thought I was just washed at the game. Again, do NOT harass anyone involved. If you do harass the devs over this, please reconsider and think about your actions.
