The Vanguard Class Destroyer is a product of the Karsvetian Next-Generation Offensive Denial Combat Vessel (NGODCV) program. The class is intended to replace the aging Duke class destroyers. The new class of destroyers sits at 165m and approximately 10,000 tons. Although potent at AAW with 80 Mk41 VLS cells at its disposal, it is plenty capable of fulfilling the ASW roles with its suite of programmable anti torpedo countermeasures, hard-kill torpedo interceptors, variable sonar and its extensive use of unmanned surface vessels that can act as mobile sonarbuoys or decoys. The Vanguard class of destroyers is has the Offensive capability of: 1x 127/64 Naval gun 2x 30mm RWS (mid, port and starboard) 80x VLS (48 bow, 32 mid) 8x AShM (2x quad canisters, mid) 2x SeaRAM (1 bow, 1 aft) Currently 2 of such vessels serve the Royal Karsvetian Navy, with more in construction and full retirement of the Duke class by 2035.
