“Whatcha workin on, Izu-kun~?” Izuku glanced up as Toga skipped into the room. “Oh, hi- I was thinking earlier, and I realized it wouldn't be great if people recognized me. So since I'm good with electronics and such, I decided to make something that could change my voice.” He held up the unfinished device. “I'm planning on making this a mask-” He scooted his chair back a few inches, and a few moments later, a knife sped past him and embedded itself into the wall. He looked at it, irritated. If he hadn't moved, that would've hit him in the head. “Seriously? Can you please stop trying to kill me!?” The blonde pouted. “I'm not! I just want some of your blood, is all~” He glared at her. “Yeah, well don't. If you try to stab me again I will personally make sure all of your knives go missing and you won't be able to find them again.” She giggled. “Really? You're so funny, ‘Zuku!” Izuku froze, his vision going red. ‘Man, ‘Zuku, I can't wait to get my Quirk. What do you think yours is gonna be? Probably something cool. Not gonna be as cool as what I get, though!’ (Kacchan.) He yanked the knife out of the wall and leapt for Toga, slamming her against the ground and pinning her with the blade against her neck. “DON’T YOU DARE CALL ME THAT.” He growled. “NEVER CALL ME THAT AGAIN.” Her eyes went wide, and she grinned broadly. “Aw, why not? Is that a nickname that girl gave you~? She’s really pretty too, it might be fun being her! I might get some of her blood-” Her smile vanished as soon as a knife sank into her shoulder, replaced by an expression of shock. Izuku twisted it, and she cried out in pain. “If you ever call me that again I will personally inject air into your bloodstream and watch you die. If you touch my Kacchan, I'll make it hurt even more.” He hissed. “Okay-! Okay, okay! I get it!” He got off of her, wrenching the knife out coldly. She clutched her shoulder, staring up at him with wide eyes. The red haze over his vision lifted, and he stared at her for a moment, keeping his expression cold. Then he sat back down, turning back to his work. “Get out, don't bother me again. You're not allowed in here.” He heard her get up and leave, mumbling something about bleeding not being as fun as watching others bleed. He continued to work on his mask, ignoring the flutter of unease in his stomach. (...everything I do is for Kacchan. Only Kacchan.) ————————————————— “Well now, that's quite the crush you've got there, sweetie.” Izuku started, looking up at Magne. “Huh?” She grinned and tapped his screen with a thick finger, pointing at Katsumi, who was currently sitting in class. “For that girl. You've been staring at her for ten minutes.” He blinked. “...crush? No, I hate her! I want to make her suffer for everything she did to me!” He stood, his chair scraping back. “I need to make her pay-” “By staring longingly at her with those big dopey eyes of yours? Oh please, darling. I know a crush when I see one.” He felt his neck heat up. “I- no! I'm a villain! She's a hero! I hate her!” “You can admit it, darling. Be who you want to be, don't let society decide for you. A hero and a villain? So what? Your heart wants what it wants, and society can't put a label on love.” She patted him on the back, almost sending him sprawling. “Uff-” “Go get her, tiger.” Izuku rubbed at his neck. (There's no way I could ever like Kacchan... right...?) —————————————————
Back in the present, Izuku stood next to Katsumi in front of the warp gate Kurogiri had made. “Are you ready, my love?” He murmured, glancing at her. “Of course I am, hon.” She held out her hand. He grinned, taking it. “Excellent. Let's do this.” They stepped through into utter chaos. Fires caused by Dabi’s Quirk raged out of control, students who weren't trying to stand and fight were running and screaming, teachers and heroes desperately tried to fight against the might of the League and the many Nomu they'd brought. Izuku’s grin turned feral. “Let's give 'em hell.” He dashed forward, the red energy of his twisted copy of One For All - he knew it to be that, there was no point in denying it despite his hatred of the so-called Symbol Of Peace - flaring and sparking around him as he effortlessly fought through heroes and students alike. His main focus was to find All Might and end him once and for all, though he knew he likely wouldn't be able to just yet. He felt the energy coursing through him falter and fizzle out. (That piece of-) He spun and slammed his boot into Aizawa's chest as the hero attempted to wrap his scarf around him. “You forget I was Quirkless, Eraserhead!” He grinned wildly, grappling with him. The hero grunted, trying to overpower him. “You could've been a hero!” Izuku’s face twisted in fury. “HERO SOCIETY BETRAYED ME!” He shouted, his fingers clawing at the man’s face. It was all the hero could do to stop him from taking out an eye. “Just because heroes weren't there in one person’s time of need doesn't mean you have to-” Aizawa was interrupted as one of Katsumi's explosions took him in the side of the head. Katsumi’s open hand followed a moment later, slamming into the hero's face and knocking him to the ground. “YOU LEAVE HIM ALONE, YOU PIECE OF ****!” She roared, holding him down with a glowing palm covering his eyes. “Problem Child-!” She slammed his head down, slamming her boot into his chest to keep him pinned. “SHUT UP.” He coughed. “Bakugou- what has he told you to make you a villain-” “He didn't ****ing make me do anything.” She growled, her palm heating up. He cried out. “I’m gonna burn hero society to the ground. Me and Izuku? Together, we’re gonna build a new one from the ashes. A better one.” She slammed his head down against the ground, knocking him out. Izuku grinned at her as she got up, crimson tendrils of Blackwhip already shooting out from his hand to pick up the hero. He tapped his earpiece. “Kurogiri.” A warp gate appeared, and he casually tossed the unconscious hero through. “You did such a good job, doll!” He smiled at Katsumi, who grinned up at him. “You're very scary.” “Yes! That's what I was going for! Inspired by you, love.” They shared a quick kiss. Izuku turned, surveying the battle between villains and ‘heroes’. “Alright then. Shall we make them suffer?” Part 50.
