Katsumi was a whirlwind of heat and sparks, sprinting through groups of heroes and sending them flying. She laughed as explosion after explosion blasted from her palms. She'd never felt so ALIVE. She felt a thrill run through her as she saw the fear on their faces. (This feels... amazing. I'm in control, FINALLY. I have strength, power. I can decide my own fate.) She drove her fist into a hero’s gut, an explosion sending them soaring. She was unstoppable. She was free. She was strong. She was- a large hand closed around her wrist, and she was yanked into the air, dangling a foot above the ground. “Guh-” “Young Bakugou. Stop this right now.” She froze, looking up. All Might stared down at her with a disapproving glare. (****it. This lying piece of ****-) “LEMME GO! I’LL {UNALIVE} YOU!” She thrashed in his grip, blasting him over and over. It didn't do anything. (****-) “I’LL {UNALIVE} YOU, YOU PIECE OF-”And then she was flying, wind rushing around her as she hurtled through the air- she slammed into a wall, and everything went black. ————————————————— Izuku whipped around as he heard Katsumi yelling. She sounded panicked. (I have to help her-) He zipped through the battle, searching frantically. No explosions. That wasn't a good sign. If she was hurt- “Never fear, because I am here!” He stopped in place. All Might, the Symbol of Peace, the person he hated most in the entire world, was standing there. Holding an unconscious, battered Katsumi up by her arm. The ‘hero’ spotted him. “You.” His voice boomed. “You're the one who-” Izuku didn't give him a chance to finish. His vision went red, and he became a blur of red sparks, darting close and slamming a fist into the hero’s wrist. The shock of the impact made him drop Katsumi, and Izuku caught her, speeding away. “I've got you, Kacchan. Don't worry, I won't let anyone hurt-” All Might was suddenly there, a wall of muscle. “Stop right there, young man-” He warped away in a puff of green smoke. Back at the LOV base, he very gently set Katsumi down on a couch. “Stay right here, my love.” He murmured. “I'll keep you safe.” He warped back to the battlefield, appearing in midair on purpose. He surveyed the battlefield through a red haze. “Villain!” All Might’s voice boomed across the battlefield as the hero spotted him. Izuku’s face twisted in anger. “MY NAME IS USAGI!” He shouted, energy sparking erratically around him. “I AM THE SYMBOL OF EVERYTHING YOU HEROES HAVE NEGLECTED, EVERYONE YOU DIDN’T SAVE. I FIGHT FOR EVERY PERSON HERO SOCIETY HAS BEATEN DOWN, TRAMPLED, CRUSHED. I FIGHT FOR THE MISTREATED, FOR THE IGNORED, FOR THE QUIRKLESS!” Katsumi flashed through his mind. He had to protect her. He HAD to. “LOOK AT ME, YOU SO CALLED HEROES, AND FEAR! FOR IT IS TIME FOR SOCIETY TO SEE WHAT IT HAS CREATED!” With a roar of defiance, he unleashed the full might of Blackwhip, hundreds of jagged red tendrils shooting out and slamming into heroes and students alike. A majority went for the Symbol of Peace, wrapping around him, stabbing at him, crushing him. He broke free, and Izuku’s eye twitched in irritation. Beneath him, tendrils incapacitated heroes and herded the students together into a group. (Even if these worthless heroes aren't of much use, maybe I can turn a student or two.)
He turned, leaving most of the tendrils to attack All Might, and floated down to land in front of the terrified heroes-in-training. “Don't be afraid. I won't hurt you. Probably.” “It's a bit late for that!” One of the students spat. “I apologize for any wounds I may have caused.” Izuku smiled gently, his eyes shifting to green. “When I’m upset, I tend to get a bit... aggressive.” His eyes landed on a boy with multiple limbs and a mask on. “You. You can understand why I do what I do.” The boy's eyes narrowed, and a mouth formed on the end of one of his limbs. “...I can understand being upset with society. I don't understand your need to destroy. I fight against villains like you to prove people like me can be heroes.” Izuku’s smile faded. (Well, he has a point. There's no use getting angry at him. This one will make a good hero.) He sighed. “Well. I may be a villain, but I'm not a monster. I won't kill any of you. You're just kids.” He tapped his earpiece. “Kurogiri. Get them someplace far from here.” A warp gate opened beneath the students, and they all fell through, surprised shouts and yells being cut off as they disappeared. “Get all the other heroes out of here, actually. I can't let them interfere.” Warp gates took the rest of the heroes away. (Time to deal with the... problem.) Izuku disappeared in a puff of green smoke as All Might attempted to Detroit Smash him. “Wow, I'm surprised. The number one hero, attacking a kid?” He grinned down at the Symbol of Peace from where he floated, several feet off the ground. “How can you possibly wield my Quirk-!” The hero leapt into the air, towards him. Izuku’s face twisted in disgust. “It's not your Quirk. It's mine.” He channeled the energy of his Quirk, pulling his fist back. All Might did the same. “DETROIT SMASH!” “I WILL TEAR YOU DOWN!” Their fists connected, and the resulting shockwave made a crater in the ground. When the smoke cleared, Izuku floated there, his left arm twisted and broken. He touched down. “Jeez. Some heroes don't deserve the strength they've been given.” He muttered, walking over to the second crater in the ground. “Giving up already? What a pathetic-” A fist slammed into his chest. Part 51.
