Chapter Nineteen: Comfort LINK'S POV: I grabbed Zelda's hand and whispered, "If it's something personal, we can leave and talk about it. Only if you'd want to!" Zelda smiled, "Yeah, that sounds better then talking in public." I smiled and took her hand. "Let's go," I whispered, leading her outside. We got in the car and Zelda looked over at me. "Tell me, why did you decide to let me stay at your house?" she asked. I smiled, "You needed a place to stay and we're already playing the part." Zelda nodded. I parked and we got out of the car. "Come on," I whispered, putting out my hand. Zelda grabbed my hand and we walked. "Why are we here?" she asked, looking at the old horse statue. I smiled, "To talk, when ever you're ready too." Zelda turned to me. "Why? Why are you so kind? Every man in my life...is loud, never wanting to know about me! Why are you so different?!" she asked, her fist shaking. I stepped closer. "My Mom always told me to protect people. Be kind. Growing up my father was an evil, horrible man. I saw how my Mother and sister suffered. I swore to never be like him," I replied, stepping a little closer. She looked at me, "T-that man...he-he-" I took her hand and she began to cry. We sank to the ground. She wiped her tears and looked right at me. "That man, is a-a killer, but before, he was an artist, and I'm his unfinished project. This is now the second time I've escaped him," she sniffled. "Now he will stop at nothing to finish me," she whispered, her shoulders shaking. I put my arms around her. "And I will stop at nothing to keep you safe from him. Nothing in this world will stop me," I whispered, tightening my grip around her. Zelda looked at me and stood up. "Then...I'll do the same. We'll protect each other. Once I'm back at work," she replied. "W-what do you mean when you're back at work?" I asked, confused. She rolled her eyes, "The captain has forced me to stay at home for a week to recover." I sighed. "You know, that guy is weird...I might look into him," I whispered, as I sat against the stone wall, surrounding the statue. Zelda sat beside me. "You shouldn't be alone. It's almost like he's...Goddess, no," I gasped, "He's a part of this!" "W-what?" Zelda asked, sitting beside. "He's on the mans team! You're coming to work with me tomorrow. It's the only option to keep you safe," I sad, looking over at her. She looked away. "W-what?" I asked, gently putting my hand on her shoulder. "N-nothing," she whispered, looking at me with a smile. I looked up at the coming stars and Zelda set her head on my shoulder. "Thank you," she whispered. I nodded, "Of courses." We looked at the sky, we didn't talk, we just sat next each other, a spark of something lighting between us. CHAPTER TWENTY COMING SOON!!
