IF YOU HAVE NOT READ WARRIOR CATS AT ALL YOU HAVE TO READ THE WHOLE INTRODUCTION OR IT WILL NOT MAKE ANY SENSE; IF YOU HAVE READ BOOK 1 AT LEAST, YOU'RE GOOD Introduction The Five Clans------------------------------------------- The forest is divided among five distinct groups (Clans) of wild cats: ThunderClan, WindClan, RiverClan, ShadowClan, and SkyClan. They live near each other, sharing territory borders, but are very territorial; cats are not allowed to cross borders to another clan’s territory without permission. According to the “warrior code”, each cat must be loyal to their own clan - they cannot have any close relationships with cats from other clans. However, the warrior code also instructs them to live with honor. If a young cat from another clan is in trouble, they are obligated to help them. Seasons----------------------------------------------------- Clan cats have different names for the seasons - spring, summer, fall, and winter are newleaf, greenleaf, leaf-fall, and leaf-bare respectively Medicine Cats---------------------------------------- These cats are the spiritual leaders and the healers of each clan. They are an exception from the warrior code; medicine cats across clans typically have a friendly relationship. They interpret signs from StarClan, heal wounds with herbs, and guide their leader according to signs and visions. They do not take part in battles or border fights StarClan---------------------------------------- This is the cats' spiritual heaven. It is made up of the spirits of their dead ancestors. They look down from the stars, watching over the living and occasionally sending prophetic dreams, warnings, or "omens" to chosen cats. The Ranks---------------------------------------- Cats earn different suffixes to their names depending on their age and role in the Clan: Kits (Babies): Names always end in -kit (e.g., Moonkit). Apprentices (In-Training): Names always end in -paw to represent their journey (e.g., Moonpaw). Warriors (Adults): Once training is complete, the Clan Leader changes "-paw" to a unique trait-based suffix Deputy: Chosen by the leader. They keep their warrior name until the leader dies or backs down from leadership, at which point their name suffix becomes “-star” Leaders: Names always end in -star (e.g., Firestar, Rainstar)
