The Christmas Holidays started. Rin, Saki, Fiete and Anna, which she’s in her first year at Hogwarts, was at their island camp. It all happened, with Pebblestar’s call of, “Let all cats old enough to catch their own prey gather around the Highledge for a Clan meeting!” The four of them went to the Highledge and sat underneath it. “I Pebblestar, now Leader of NatureClan, want to retire to the Elder’s den and be an elder. I thought it was time for a new generation to come. Fetherheart, you will go to the Moonpool tonight and will decide your deputy by Moon-high. The meeting is over. Your Leader is now Mia.” A shocked silence followed these words. Then a mrrow of murmurs, then a voice. “Fetherstar! Fetherstar! Fetherstar! Fetherstar!“ so all the cats joined in. “ Fetherstar! Fetherstar! Fetherstar! Fetherstar! Fetherstar!” “Thank you, everybody,” Rin’s mother said, I bit embarrassed, but pleased. “I’ll go to the Moonpool now.” And she disapparated. It was moon-high. Fetherheart returned with her mother (Cinderpool) and niece (Honeyfoot), being Fetherstar. They were waiting for her to appoint her deputy. Finally, Fetherstar appeared on the Highledge, and the murmurs died away. “I’ve chosen my deputy. Let StarClan light his path. My deputy is… Darkpond.” Rin nudged her cousin. “You did it!” She said. “Congrats!” Saki said. “Darkpond! Darkpond! Darkpond! Darkpond!” Everyone cried. “In… in that case, Fetherstar,” Darkpond began. “I’d like to change my name. The prefix Dark- was used to the cats who went to the dark side, like Darkstripe or Darktail. Though my pelt might be dark, my soul will never be.” “Then… I Fetherstar, new Leader of NatureClan, present you with this warrior. This warrior thinks his name is not suitable for him now that he’s deputy. I wish StarClan to erase this cat’s name and give him another. From now on, this cat will be named… Islandleap.”
