.... Tom sat at the table, reading a newspaper. The giant robot explosion had been the topic for a few weeks a few years ago, so it was surprising and confusing how it came back. More confusing. Concerning. He sighed, putting the newspaper down and tapping the table with his finger. He usually skimmed over it, but he had read at least 2 paragraphs. It wasn't anything new, really. Just news on how they... Never found a... He quickly grabbed the newspaper again. It shouldn't be new. It wasn't new. But how could he have missed it before? /Nothing was found at the scene. We've closed the case that's been going on after digging around and finding nothing. The case is closed, and will NOT be reopened. Just somebody playing around with robots and getting it exploded./ No. That wasn't right. That was Tord's robot. And he was in it after the giant harpoon. So how was he... Unless... "Crap." Tom hissed through his teeth, grabbing his hoodie and bolting to his feet, walking outside his apartment, knocking on Edd's door once as he walked past, same with Matt's. They came out. "No time to explain. Just get in the car." Edd and Matt exchanged a glance, before quickly shutting their doors and locking it. "What do you mean you think he's alive? The robot exploded!" Edd said, leaning forward in the car, staring outside the windows. "Well he wasn't THERE." Tom growled, gripping the steering wheel tightly and taking a tight turn, noticing how Matt slid. "MATT, PUT YOUR DAMN SEATBELT ON!" He snapped, glaring at Matt for a second. Matt instantly scrambled back to the middle, fumbling with the seatbelt. They finally arrived where they used to live, and Tom took a turn to go up the cliff where he saw a lot of cars, getting out of the car without turning it off. Nothing. Just broken robot parts, and a harpoon. But no Tord. Tom stared around for a second, before growling, turning around and getting back in the car, gripping the steering wheel tightly, turning around and driving off quickly. "Tom! Where are we going?-" Edd asked, staring out the window with nervousness. Tom just gripped the wheel tighter. "To look for him." "Why?" Matt asked. Tom glared at the mirror for a second, before keeping his eyes on the road. "To finish the job." . . . . "Paul." Tord hummed, looking at his second in command. "Sir?" Paul glanced up from what he was doing. Tord didn't ask, just took out blueprints and placed them on Paul's desk. "I need you to handle that for me. Invent it, test it. Thanks." Tord hummed, turning away and walking off. He never liked it when the hallways were this empty. When the lights were dim. It made him feel sick for some reason. "Sir." Paul called. Tord stopped, turning his head. "Yes?" Paul stood up. Tord just stared at Paul, his chest starting to feel tighter the closer Paul got to him. "I need you, sir, to go deal with Patryk. He's been complaining about sore muscles all day, sir." Paul simply said, staring at Tord. Tord just nodded. "I'll let him know sore muscles aren't any reason to complain." He hummed, turning around and walking off. When he got far enough, he felt like a weight got lifted off his shoulder. He didn't understand it. He didn't know why he was so scared of Paul. Or rather...didn't remember. It was still so fuzzy. And that hurt. A lot. . . . . "TOM! Please! It's going to get dark soon! I need to feed Ringo!" Edd begged as Tom sped down the highway. "You don't even know where Tord is!" "We'll FIND him." Tom decided, driving faster. "NO, we won't! If he's left, he's long gone! Are you seriously going to hold a grudge against him for nothing-?" "HE BLEW UP OUR HOUSE." Tom snapped, glaring over at Edd, who flinched, raising his hands quickly. "Jeez...it wasn't even that bad...we went somewhere new.." Tom slammed onto the brakes for a second, turning into a rest area. Edd flinched. "Jesus...What are we doing here?" He hummed, turning his head to look at Matt in the backseat- who was clutching the seatbelt for dear life. "We're getting a map to go to Norway." Tom sighed, getting out of the car, walking off. "Why would Tord be in Norway?" Edd called after his friend. "If he's not, there's gonna be someone there who knows him." Tom said, glaring behind him, before continuing to walk. "...That's going to be a long drive.." Edd muttered quietly, before turning his head, glancing at Matt. "Do you think Tom's acting a little..." "Overdramatic?" Matt asked, tilting his head. Edd narrowed his eyes nervously, looking away for a second. "Yeah..that's one way to put it." "Yeah, I do! He's going to get us in a crash out here!" Matt snapped, leaning forward. Edd looked away nervously. He agreed, but he didn't say he did. Tom couldn't hate Tord this much.. well he COULD.... ...and probably does... "He's so annoyed at Tord..." Matt muttered quietly. "It's been three years! And he finds out Tord might still be alright and goes for it?" Edd had his hand to his mouth. Thinking.
(continued) "Well, wouldn't you if someone who you used to be friends with came back after...eight years just to take a robot to try to take over a world..." Edd hummed nervously. Matt paused. "and then a 50 foot fall and a robot explosion.." He finished. Tom came back in the car, slamming the door shut. Edd quickly grabbed the map before it fell, exchanging a look with Matt before looking at the map, swallowing nervously. "So...to Norway?" Edd asked. It was a stupid question. Tom had said they were going to Norway. Edd noticed how Tom had started glaring at him, and he instantly looked up. "Alright!Sowhatyouwannadoisgoforwardandthentakearight!" He said quickly, smiling nervously. Tom looked back at the road. . . . . "Og de ser på meg, lederen. Jeg tror ikke de ser på den rette personen. Jeg er ikke synderen ... Jeg er ikke den som har gjort noe galt. Jeg gjør bare det jeg skal gjøre. Jobber. Jobber! Og likevel, Paul ... har Paul det noe bedre? Verre? Jeg vet ikke. Jeg er ikke sikker lenger." "What was that, boss?" "Nothing."
