Thank you to @Amber-Petal for the base and google for the help! Research: A chimera cat is made when two different embryos merge together in the beginning of pregnancy. Their bodies are split in half, giving them their striking apperance. Some of them can be born with similar colors on both sides but others can stand out with two very distinct color. Some examples are on the left. Cats with Chimerism are also know for their two different eye colors know as heterochromia which also adds to their appearance, which is also shown in the images on the left. But in some cases Chimera cats can look normal and not have heterochromia, so you may never know if a cat has Chimerism or not! Some fun facts about Chimerism are: The word Chimera comes from Greek Mythology. It describes a monster with a lion head, a goat body and head, and finally a serpent headed tail. Now that by itself is scary enough but to make it even more scary it breaths fire, pure nightmare fuel. To make it even weirder it is the child of Typhon and Echidna, making it siblings with Cerberus and the Hydra, Cerberus being a three headed dog and the Hydra is a multi-headed dragon-like monster that can have 7 or more heads! It seems to me that this family tree has a lot to do with heads. Another fun fact is that humans can be Chimeras, having small displays of traits. There are only about 100 or less recorded instances in the world! Moving away from the fun facts let's talk about health issues. Some people think that Chimeras would have many health issues. Truth be told, they don't have many. The main one being that males can have Klinefelter's Syndrome and have shorter life spans in some cases. But lucky these cats do live a very happy life! This is just a quick overview of the main health issues.
