training schedule! I copied most of this from Hollysting’s project, since I’m lazy haha … introduction to apprenticeship 1. Swallowtailsnake will use this lesson to learn about his apprentice. their likes, dislikes, and preferred area of focus. this will end in a short spar to see the level at which they fight. 2. tour the territory and point out important landmarks. will introduce apprentice to the borders as well as show how to mark them. with older apprentices, she’ll simply make sure whether they know where everything is and show them to the places he will teach them at. 3. introduction to fighting. Swallow will teach their apprentice the most basic move, a paw strike. will fix form and will do a light practice spar to practice this move. older apprentices are not an exception, and he’ll make sure they practice this multiple times until it becomes perfect. 4. hunting. Swa will teach the hunting crouch and how it differs from a fighting stance. will demonstrate how she hunts and will expect his apprentice to follow suit, and will be observing their level of skill. older apprentices will merely get a review and tasked with hunting a couple pieces of prey, in which he’ll observe and fix any mistakes. 5. introduction to swimming. Swallowtail has always loved water, and often can be seen damp from his adventures. 6. introduction to climbing. Swallowtail isn’t the best at this, but he’ll try his best. 7. ambushing. basic skills such as how to walk quietly and avoid anything that could crackle underpaw. older apprentices will be tested by her, considering she thinks she’s pretty good at this. 8. a small test on all of these areas so she ensures they know the basics before moving on to more advanced skills. … intermediate. 9. Swallowtailsnake isn’t a very strong cat, but she wants her apprentice to be one. this lesson will be endurance training; mostly running laps and some agility. 10. her apprentice will be taught more on fighting and will be shown how to effectively use the paw strike technique to their advantage. for older apprentices; this will simply be a spar in which he’ll fix mistakes. 11. more stalking and ambushing. practice ‘hunt’, where they will try and approach Swa without her knowledge. 12. more hunting. she will teach fishing and how to efficiently catch fish no matter the weather. 13. another hunting session, where he will instruct over how to catch birds. 14. long-distance tracking, will teach the basics such as how to observe their surroundings and use them to their advantage. … advanced. 15. more fighting and another quick spar. will be teaching moves such as the belly rake, how to escape a cat’s hold, and how to hop onto another cat’s back and blind them temporarily. 16. hunting. will show the most efficient ways to take out prey before they alert others of the danger if missed. 17. more climbing and how to startle an opponent when dropping from a tree. Swallowtail doesn’t really know how to do this, and may teach it wrong. 18. ambushing. how to silently observe your opponent wherever you are, and how to escape if necessary. 19. swimming. how to fight underwater and in the water. 20. how to fight in the treetops without falling. this will be … fun. 21. discipline training. will play a game where Swallow calls out something for her apprentice to do. they must do it quickly or it will restart. they will have to do at least 10 correct commands in a row. … complex. 22. congratulations, you’ve graduated. these will be harder lessons, and Swallowtail will push her apprentice relentlessly. this is a test over all you know so far. 23. observation.
