Welcome to the first chapter of Legends of Willowflare! Before I begin, I have one thing to say: y'all can NOT let me quit writing this series!!!! No matter what, no matter how much I say I don't want to, y'all can't let me quit! Ok? Ok. Next: https://scratch.mit.edu/projects/1367291327 Previous: um, um, um, um, First: You're here! Chapter 1: I'm running through a field. Something is chasing me. I'm running as fast as I can, but I'm not fast enough. Eventually, it pins me up against a tree. I wake up to my mom calling me from downstairs. "Arianna! Get up, you're going to be late for school!" I cringe at the use of my deadname. I wish she would use my preferred name, Milo, and pronouns, but I haven't come out yet, and I probably never will. I get up from my bed and look at my clock. 7:30, shoot! I rush to get ready, and as I run out of my room, I shove my fake squirrel tail and my mouse mask into my backpack. I run downstairs and shout, "Bye, Mom!" I run out the door just in time to catch the bus. I sit by myself again. It's just easier, considering pretty much everyone thinks I'm a furry. Muttering to myself, I put on my tail but leave my mask in my bag, since they don't allow face coverings in school. Finally off the bus, I walk to homeroom. The day goes by in a blur of boring classes and kids shouting "Furry." The bell rings, dismissing the whole school. Finally! I run to the park and start doing quads on the playground. I always go to the little kid one, because little kindergarteners and first graders don't judge you for acting like an animal. As usual, I start with walking and slowly transition to running and jumping. Once I'm too tired to keep going, I climb to the top of the equipment, on the roof of the playground. I pull out a Twix and just rest. I sit like this for a few minutes, until I hear something. Oh no. No, no, no, no, no! It's Max and his weird little group of followers. A.K.A, the worst anti-therians in the whole city. I climb down and start running. I can hear them chasing me, but I don't dare to stop and look. "FURRY," they shout. I run and run until I'm back home. I turn around, and they're gone. I sigh and open the door. My mom is inside, and she comes over to me. "Arianna, are you alright? Why are you panting? Wha-" She stops and stares at something. "WHAT is THAT?" She says. Oh god. I'm still wearing my tail.
