"Tiden tikker." . . . . "Sir." Paul hummed, his hands behind his back, walking up towards Tord. Tord glanced over, keeping a serious expression. "Paul, my second in comman-" Paul walked behind Tord, grabbing him by the shoulders, turning him around towards- ... Tord opened his eyes quickly, lifting his head, looking around. He was in his office. Right. This was fine. He was fine. He had just zoned out. What was he doing last? ... He didn't remember. Crap. Tord groaned tiredly, slamming his head on the desk lightly, before lifting it, scanning around the room, before his right-... robot arm jolted with pain, making him wince. He clutched it and stood up, before noticing Paul across the room, stirring a cup of coffee. "You locked your door." Paul said simply, staring at Tord. Tord stared back at Paul. "Apologies." He said simply, before grabbing his coat. His back ached. His head hurt. He felt sick. He didn't know why. "So...how did you get in?" Tord asked, walking towards his mini-fridge and opening it, taking out an energy drink and looking at Paul, who seemed to just still be staring at him. "I have a key to your office. You gave it to me, remember?" Paul asked, taking out a key. Tord stared at the key for a second. For some reason, seeing that key just made him feel sicker, so he just opened the energy drink, looking away slowly, nodding quietly. "...Sorry I zoned off." He hummed, deciding to change the subject. Paul put the key back in his pocket, taking the spoon out of his coffee cup and tapping it on the side, tossing it towards the trash. "Don't worry about it. It doesn't hurt to sleep. You can't just run on adrenaline and coffee. That's not healthy." Paul said, offering a slight smile. Tord didn't return it. Just stared at Paul, chugging the rest of his energy drink, crushing the can in his hand nervously, then tossing it in the trash, turning around and starting to walk off. Paul got up, and was behind Tord quicker than anyone normal should be. "What's the rush to leave? You just woke up." Tord swallowed, his chest feeling tight. "Lots of work to do. Keeps me busy. Keeps the soldiers up and running." He said, turning his head and staring at Paul. Paul stood there, staring at Tord for a second, before his expression went serious. "Ah, yes, I suppose a leader like you would have a lot to do." He hummed. Tord opened the door quickly, walking out. Instead of heading anywhere else though, he bolted to the bathroom, turning on the faucet, grabbing the water and splashing his face. He lifted his head, staring at his reflection as water dripped down his face. .... Why was he so stressed? So...exhausted? He just slept. HE JUST. SLEPT. He lowered his head, sighing, staring at the water dripping back into the sink, before grabbing a towel and drying his hands and his face, staring at the ceiling for a second, his eyes staring at the tiles. ...counting. He shook his head, looking back down, walking off. Once he pushed open the door, he flinched, before some tension relaxed, staring at Patryk. Patryk stared at him, concern in his face, before hesitantly giving a small, lazy salute. "Sir." "Patryk.." Tord sighed, running a hand through his hair, standing straight. "Do you need something?" "No." Patryk admitted, looking at the ground, not exactly looking at Tord. Tord's just stared at him. "I'm just...worried, I guess. You've been overworking yourself for the past 3 months, and you went into your office 2 hours ago. That's...you haven't gotten enough sleep. Are you okay?" His voice was genuine. Tord stared at Patryk, before grinning. "Yeah. Now, get back to work solider, that's what I'm doing." Tord hummed, turning and walking off. Not in public. Not in public. He couldn't be a weak leader. Not in the open. He passed soldiers, who stared at him, saluting, going to ask questions, but stopping. They were all staring. Stopping to stare. Why were they.. Tord walked faster. THE DOOR DOOR GET TO THE DOOR PLEASE HURRY UP. Tord pushed the door open, slamming it shut behind him, his breathing coming out in quick puffs, before running his hand through his hair, sighing, turning his head to the door, then looking forward. He was in the training area. Everyone was still doing their own thing, not paying attention. His gaze slowly relaxed, and he blinked a few times, before shaking his head, rubbing his robot arm. "Hva-...Det er flere folk her ute enn vanlig." Tord hummed, walking over to Yuu. He glanced up. Tord looked at him. "Hvorfor?" Yuu just shrugged, before getting back to what he was doing. Tord just stood there, turning his head towards the soldiers, they didn't pay him any mind. So why were the ones back inside staring at him? He swallowed back a nauseous feeling in his throat, before turning around, going back to the door, opening it. It was the same hallway he'd left through. And he wasn't outside long. So why was the hallway so... Empty? No soldiers. Not even a noise. Tord hesitantly stepped back in.
(continued) He looked around for any soldier. But no. There wasn't anything. The nauseous feeling was rising back in his throat, and he tried to swallow it back, but it just came back. He sighed shakily, walking quicker, heading towards one of the testing rooms, opening the door. Soldiers glanced up at him, saluting. Patryk was in there, and the moment he saw Tord, he instantly tensed and mouthed 'are you okay'. Tord blinked a few times, then nodded, slowly backing up. He closed the door. And felt that he bumped into someone. He flinched, his breathing hitching, starting to quicken, turning his head. ... It was just Paul. Paul tilted his head. "You're supposed to be going to the security room." Tord instantly distanced himself from Paul, nodding. "Right! Going there right now. Got it! Understood!" He grinned, walking off quickly, his breathing quickening, swallowing nervously, staring at the ground for the rest of the walk. He hated this.
