creds. music ₪ boompala ,, le sserafim art + desc ₪ @-goldensoul- character ₪ @skyclanyears EVERYTHING'S WATER SO EVERYTHING'S CLEAR RESEARCH CONT. anxiety in cats (specifically when it comes to panic attacks) is very similar to humans, but i'll put how it'll affect her physically (as a cat) and how it'll affect her otherwise (based on how it affects humans) when cats have anxiety/panic reactions for any number of reasons, their pupils dilate, and they usually pant or breathe rapidly. as well as dilating pupils and hyperventilation, their fur can puff up, their ears flatten and they might tremble. if caused by external factors (eg. something triggering panic like a overtly loud noise or creature) they might run or even hide extremely. when humans have panic attacks, a number of things can happen both physically and mentally. for instance, if golden were to have a panic attack triggered by something like agoraphobia, acrophobia, claustrophobia, ect. her symptoms might look like this: - accelerated heart rate - shortness of breath / ch0king feeling - dizziness, lightheadedness, ect. - sweating, shaking, trembling if it's more inwardly triggered like by auto/monophobia or athazagoraphobia (wow big word ik) then her inward reaction could be along the lines of: - feeling distressed or detached - irrational thoughts/worries that seem reasonable at the time - worrying one might be going crazy - also, very dependent on phobias involved, but for instance if one were to have the fear of being forgotten/replaced by loved ones (athazagoraphobia) then the worries/thoughts might revolve around relevance, importance and worth. this definitely can be severe in different cases, but a lot of people are able to manage their panic disorders through help. i don't want her to be centred around her disorder, nor do i want it to be an 'aesthetic' accessory because panic attacks aren't just a cute thing. they're really scary. so it'll probably be a less severe case than expected, but that's okay! her having a panic disorder will definitely affect her social interaction at least on her side, and she might have hidden insecurities stemmed from it, but she'll do her best to push through and be the best she can be.
