So... Is a million big? Maybe, but what goes after it? These numbers will make millions and billions look tiny. Starting with thousand (10^3) unit: k Million (10^6) unit: M Billion (10^9) unit: B Trillion (10^12) unit: T Quadrillion (10^15) unit: Q/Qd/Qa Quintillion (10^18) unit: Q/Qn Sextillion (10^21) unit: S/Sx Septillion (10^24) unit: S/Sp Octillion (10^27) unit: O/Oc Nonillion (10^30) unit: N Decillion (10^33) unit: D Undecillion (10^36) unit: uD (From now on I won't add the index form, just add 3) Duodecillion DD Tredecillion tD/tDD Quattuordecillion qD/qDD Quindecillion QiD/qDc Sexdecillion SxD Septendecillion SpD Octodecillion OcD Novemdecillion nD/NoD VIGINTILLION Vg Unvigintillion UVg Duovigintillion DVg And so on... Novemvigintillion NVg Trigintillion Tg Untrigintillion UTg And so on... (I think you get the jist of it) You might ask: where is googol? So DTg (duotrigintillion) is 10^99, and googol is 10^100, which is also called ten DTg.
I don't know why I made this But since I did, I guess I’ll teach you to name *normally* massive numbers (ahem @Jupitersaturn13) Here is the list of prefixes ONCE YOU EXCEED DECILLION: Units (1-9) 1: Un 2: Duo 3: Tre 4: Quattuor 5: Quin 6: Sex 7: Septen 8: Octo 9: Novem Tens (10 to 90) 10: Dec 20: Vigint 30: Trigint 40: Quadragint 50: Quinquagint 60: Sexagint 70: Septuagint 80: Octogint 90: Nonagint Hundreds (100 to 900) 100: Cent 200: Duocent 300: Trecent 400: Quadringent 500: Quingent 600: Sescent 700: Septingent 800: Octingent 900: Nongent To use these, take a number, turn it into the short scale index form, and use the formula 3n+3=[exponent] to work out what should go together. For example, 10^972: 972-3=969, 969/3=323 Then, smash the corresponding prefixes together: Tre (3) + vigint (20) + trecent (300) + illion = tresvigintitrecentillion Note: sometimes a “bridging character” has to be added to make pronunciation smooth. (System: Conway-Wechsler system) If you use the long-scale form, the formula is 6n=[exponent]! For example, 10^972 would be 972/6=162 2: Duo + 60: Sexagint + 100: Cent = Duosexagintacentillion. Hope you learnt something! :) Random numbers @JupiterSaturn13 added: Giggol = 10^^100 (10 tetrated by 100 or a tower of the exponent 10 that is 100 units high) Millillion = 10^3003 Micrillion = 10^3,000,003 Nanillion = 10^(3*10^9+3) Killillion = 10^{3*10^{3003}+3}
