Hi everyone! This is my custom palette swap system inspired by video game palette swaps! This is an experiment and has a lot of limitations, such as having a low resolution, being limited to the pixel grid, taking a while to run, causing lag, and being on the back layer. Try it out on turbowarp to run it faster - https://turbowarp.org/1368243236/fullscreen?fps=60 Instead of directly checking for equal colors, this system also accounts for anti-aliasing, meaning it uses a tolerance amount and modifies the final color by the difference from the original. While this demo only uses 1 input and output color, changing from Scratch Cat's orange color to a range of other colors, you can also add more colors at a time! Although there are limitations, I still think this is pretty cool and I want to see where others can improve this (clunky) system I made!
Original color scanner by Griffpatch The large area scanner system broke, so I had to make a "known colors" system to speed up the scanning process! This should work well for all sprites that use flat colors!
