They had one of the worst old designs due to how quickly outdated they became I've been experimenting with shape langauge and recognition for a while now, and i realised i usually draw Mario as a wide 8 and Luigi as a tall rectangle And then i thought to myself that Goldie should be a narrow 8 and Buck a short rectange, i felt like it made most sense to me. As for the new trivia, just like Goldie's a granddaughter of Toadsworth, Buck is a son of the Hint Toad of the Toad Brigade. Not sure if i've mentioned it yet, but my Mario Game and Season 1 of the show would span through a few days, starting with Bowser's attack on Peach's castle during a ball at midnight. Because of their Parents and Grandparents being invited they had no choice but to be there, though they spent most of the time roaming around the castle, which made them one of the few attendees who didn't get kidnapped, which has led them to meeting the Bros and you can figure out the rest.
