Originally made for the GMTK game jam 2026, with the theme “Countdown”. (}-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-{) It’s just your typical Monday morning. Just like any other day, you prepare to cross the road. There only one problem - it's the apocalypse. Zombies roam the streets, meteors rain from the sky, and the ground opens up beneath your feet. Unfortunately, none of this is new. Nonetheless, your goal remains unchanged: don’t die, and get to the other side before the time runs out! So put on some lofi beats and take a nice casual stroll through the city :) (}-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-{) INSTRUCTIONS: - WASD or arrow keys to move - Joystick on mobile (if it doesn't show up, reload and try again) - Cross the crosswalk before the countdown reaches 0! (}-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-{) NOTES: - The original version of this game crosswalkalypse - Results aren't out yet, wish me luck! (}-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-{) CREDITS: - All coding, art, narrative, and ideas are mine. - Thanks to Scratch and Pixabay for the sound effects and music, some of which I modified myself. - Thanks to Mark Brown of GMTK for providing this game jam opportunity! This is my second time participating in this Game Jam, and I hope to improve upon last year :) (}-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-{)
