Welcome to the password engineering lab! This app is designed to generate passwords and test their strength using real-world cryptography math. (Lmk if I made a mistake pls in the comments) HOW TO USE: 1. Choose your mode: Character Mode or Passphrase Mode.(Click the check mark on the ask screen to cancel password generation out of the selected pool 2. Toggle your security criteria using Settings then the check boxes (Numbers and Symbols) 3. Input your desired length (characters) or word count (phrases) 4. Click Generate! Watch the Entropy Bits and the Time-to-Crack simulator update! Notice how increasing your length of the password protects your data better than adding random symbols :)
This project is built as a heavy logic utility tool and uses the following: -ENTROPY BITS: Calculates strength using precise bits-of-entropy weights based on the active pool size -PASSPHRASE ENGINE: Simulates industry standard “Diceware” protocol, using a calculation loop (7,776^N) to map real-world word-pool variables. -BRUTE FORCE SIMULATOR: Runs a live time-conversion calculation benchmarked against a powerful graphics card guessing at a rate of 100,000,000,000 attempts per second. #math #cryptography #password #cool
