Dice rolls are used during battles, hunting patrols, and prophecy events to keep outcomes fair, unpredictable, and exciting! How do rolls work? 1. A player or manager rolls a 1–6 (using a real-life die or an online 1d6 roller). 2. The number determines how successful the bird's attempt was: • Roll 1: Critical fail The action completely fails or backfires. (e.g., your bird stumbles, misses the prey, or gets hit directly). • Roll 2–3: Partial success The action barely works or comes with a drawback. (e.g., your strike grazes the opponent, or the prey escapes into a thorn bush). • Roll 4–5: Standard success The action succeeds as intended. (e.g., a solid strike lands, or a hunting pounce catches the prey). • Roll 6: Critical success An exceptional result! (e.g., a perfect dodge, an impressive catch, or finding rare herbs). Combat and Trial Rules • Write attacks as ATTEMPTS first, then roll to see if they land. • Both players must accept the rolled outcome to keep roleplay sportsmanship high. • Managers may perform rolls as well.
