Ahhhhhh TW, death, obviously, um head trauma, allusion to blood ——— ——— ——— ——— ——— ——— ——— Daylight streamed in through the leaves, dappling the forest floor in alternating light and dark. Waspefflorescence yawned, picking up the pace as she trotted out of camp. She’s never been that good a hunter, so after a couple failed attempts, she gives up and decides to make it an exploration into the woods instead. With a skip in her step, she cuts off the path, venturing out of the territory to a place she hasn’t yet explored. The scent of MossClan fades behind her as the land grows steep beneath her paws. A bird swoops low behind her, screeching as it ducked into the undergrowth. Wasp spooked, the ground beneath her paws crumbling away from her. The impact of the fall knocked the breath out of her, and she hissed through her teeth. Her claws tried to catch on a root as she tumbled, but they barely slowed her progress down the hill. Rolling, rolling, rolling…not? There wasn’t any ground beneath her paws suddenly- perhaps another cat would have landed on her paws but- She’s not sure if she registers her head hitting the rock. Maybe it’s better if she doesn’t. The smell of iron hangs in the air. She wonders who’s hurt. It can’t be her, she doesn’t feel any pain… Maybe she can help. But it doesn’t seem that she can move. How odd. She feels as though concern is distant. … The nursery air, she remembers, is warm. Light shines in through the entrance, and Waspkit nudges her siblings awake. There’s laughter outside, and she leads the way out into the daylight with excitement. … Wasppaw’s paws ache, but her eyes are shining as she tramps through the territory. She wants to see the whole world, miss nothing on her first day as an apprentice! She dances under the trees, birds signing for her overhead. … Her name is called at the ceremony, and she’s so proud of herself, her eyes glow as all the other new warriors laugh and cheer, and she chants their names too. She can’t stop smiling for the next few days. … She stares up at the night sky blankly. She’s heard stories of StarClan and the Dark Forest, but she doesn’t believe in them. Maybe if she could see them- but the darkness doesn’t seem to have revealed any more than the daylight. She wonders if that means she still has somewhere to go after she passes. Would she be content with..nothing at all? … The scent of iron fades, and so does she. The darkness feels like home when she closes her eyes. The wind blows flower petals over her fur, and the wind blows Waspefflorescence far away. ——— ——— ——— ——— ——— ——— ——— Yeah, Wasp is dead um- I was reallyyyyyy excited about the MossClan revival but I had….job…so..I didn’t get to partake in MossClan. I’m going to choose….notttttttt to have her in the afterlife….? Anyway! Job! I literally love my job so much I get to teach STEAM and stuff to kids and most of my coworkers are LGBTQ or allies. Also, the kids are so funny- (I did hear 67 too many times though, thought we were done with that)
