cb opinion: Before I write my opinion on the CB topic, I have a disclaimer to share: this is strictly my opinion. You can think differently about this situation and don't have to defend it; we don't have to live for others. We each have our own morals and what we were taught when we were young. I think I'm going to get a lot of hate from this, yes before stanning BTS I was kind of interested in pop culture. I wasn't really paying attention to the controversies; I was honestly just listening to the music. However, this is the first time I've actually heard of Chris Brown in my life, so it may be a different take. Also, I've recently heard a bunch of talk about him, so this helps me better understand the situation and exactly why people are beyond furious that our favorite artists with their massive, multi-year LOVE YOURSELF campaign with UNICEF (that is specifically for ending v1olence against children, teens, etc) could stand next to him like it's no big deal. To ARMY, (it IS a female dominated fanbase, the stats don't lie) seeing members associate with someone who has a proven, v1olent track record against women feels like a massive contradiction to the values they preach- and that's exactly why fans feel so heartbroken and let down. I'm going to try my best to acknowledge both sides and instead of coming to a conclusion, I will try my best and reflect my opinion on this whole situation and a take on fandom culture. Honestly, I would be mad too. I see so many headlines on social media about this, so I've gathered some information [also from here, on Musicat, too] and build my opinion around it. Again, you don't have to read any of this, sorry for the long disclaimer. I just wanted to speak my mind also, that's it. You don't have to agree, but please keep it respectful. We are all human. I'm still working on writing my post, so it may take some time. I hope everyone who reads this understands. Thank you! Sincerely, Seo-jin
