This SD70ACE-T4 numbered 1864 is honored as the heritage unit for the late Georgia River and Atlantic Railroad. The railroad started as a small freight carrying short line in 1864 with a small fleet of CPR D10h bidded from the Canadian Pacific Railroad in 1861. In 1966, the group got a fleet of 8 EMD F7 A/B units for its short line hauls. In 1979, the EMD SD40-2 was introduced into service and helped GRA become a semi-major Southern railroad until Pioneer Valley Railroad bought it in 1997. This HU may be temporary and #1864 may be swapped onto a SD60E variant.
