{- TW - v*0lnt thoughts, caps, snapping -} It was a bright morning Never a good sign She knew this to be true Too true But today Today was much worse... A sunny sky shone through the camp, Ala had been relaxing in its warmth. It wasn't much, from the clouds to the trees that seemed to try and soak in each drop of the warm air for themselves, but it was enough for her to be happy. Happy in a sun as bright as this? Her mind thought not! It tried to drag those memories back, the day of Mosquito's death, the day her parents were killed.. it tried to drag her down, but she shook it away. No, not today, she wouldn't think back to those days without another nearby to help her. Pain, too much pain would be brought. Besides, she was the hyper one of the clan, to get all boring and 'depressed' like some of the other cats in Mossclan. It was a silly thought, but she deemed it to be true. Atalashine was her name, so she had to shine brightly to each cat around her. Be a beacon they could look at and think; "Yes, that cat looks like she would be a good friend for me." She nodded to herself, getting up to her paws and stretching out. Leaping off the rock she decided to make use of this amazing morning sun, and she knew exactly how to. "Brimstone!" She called, bounding up to where her brother was cleaning himself near the side of the camp. "Hmm?" He raised his head, tilting it as he looked at her, probably thinking about how 'annoying' she could be with all her energy. "We should go hunting." She nodded, quickly getting to the topic. "It's a nice day out, and the sun decided to grant us the joy of warm air! Perfect for the prey to be scrambling in the woods." Brimstone nodded in agreement as he finished his clean, getting to his paws as they padded out of the camp. It was nice, hanging out with her brother as warriors, and not having to worry about much beside what the prey was doing and where it was going to go. They had decided to go after a rabbit, a simple catch usually, especially if they worked together over it. She was going to surprise the rabbit, and Brimstone would leap out of a bush and catch it when she ran it to him. Simple move, but it usually would work easier then hunting alone. She was chasing the rabbit now, the small creature running forth, she slowed down a bit as they reached the bush with Brimstone, who lunged for the rabbit.. The small creature seemed to have predicted this, however, and dodged his jump. Atala cursed, slowing to a stop as she watched the rabbit scramble off... and Brimstone follow. "Brimstone- Wait!" She yowled, kicking back up into a run as she watched her brother scramble after the fleeing prey, watched the dust continue to blow infront of her from him kicking it up. When it cleared, she couldn't see them anymore, sighing in annoyance, she sniffed the air and followed his scent. Silly mouse-brain, chasing a single rabbit so far out. As she followed the scent, she started to wonder if he'd even caught the dang fresh-kill or not, if he did or didn't it wouldn't have mattered much, but it would still annoy her a bit that she had to have chased him for nothing. She paused suddenly as a rancid scent hit her nose, blood, a lot of it. Had the rabbit died? This was too much blood for a simple catch. Maybe it had fought back a bit if he'd cornered it someplace. She sped up however, just incase. When she left the tree-line, she paused. There, almost immediately, was a drop down into a pit, a long drop at that.. and so suddenly as well. She froze, pelt bristling as she sniffed the air again, Brimstone's scent lead right into it. She looked carefully over the edge, not daring to breathe, as if that'd change anything. There, she noticed the rabbit had fallen a bit in-front of a larger shape, a shape she had known, who hadn't been so still a few moments ago. Brimstone Brimstone lay on the ground Brimstone lay on the ground with blood all around him So much Too much to survive. Atala didn't even tell herself to make that sound that roared out of her like a waterfall It was astonished It was enraged It was horrifying and yet it felt so good so good to feel the tears stream down her eyes, the horrid sound that escaped her maw, the pain she felt when she tried to talk after. Too much-and yet.. She didn't know what she did the rest of that day Or the day after that Or the day after that... seemingly lost in a world.. no.. he|| that shouldn't exist.... With that cursed warmth Seemingly like blood... ... Her cursed mind. She feels like this is her fault >:D
She has snapped. (ish) Brimstone got killed off because their owner was going for another cat so I had to get creative :p Tell me if u like it broski. Atala will now be: - More easily aggravated - More likely to break/snap in delicate conversation - Less opening of things (I shall try) - Less bubbly/more likely to just start staring into space.
