Moon stood still, frozen, before he slowly turned around to meet his partner's eyes. "What do you mean, it's no good you being here anymore? You belong here as much as the rest of us do! Well, except for Eclipse, after what's just happened now..." He answered anxiously, stepping closer to Rue. Despite his words, his girlfriend only gazed at him blankly. "Moon, you just saw how bad it is between me, Foodie, and Eclipse. It's horribly tense between me and those two, and that's without even being around the others, like Solar. Does it sound like I'm welcome here anymore?" She said exasperatedly, her shoulders slumped tiredly. The night-themed demon closed his eyes, exhaling shakily through his lips as he sat down on the bed beside his girlfriend. This wasn't what he planned, at all. He never wanted this. He never would've expected to come back from the dead, let alone die, in the first place, anyways. "Can't we just... Find a way to work this out? I don't want to lose you, just for the sake of how other people feel," Moon murmured weakly, lifting his head up to meet Ruella's eyes. The beautiful - currently crimson - eyes that he had fallen for. "Tell me how, Moon. Give me one possible way we - meaning, Foodie, Eclipse, and I - could work this out. Including the fact that you want me to stay here, living with them." The demonic angel muttered, folding her arms against her chest. Her boyfriend glanced down at the floor, at a loss for words. "I... I genuinely don't know, Rue. I just hate this." He tilted his head back up to make eye contact with the corrupted angel again, tensing as she raised an eyebrow at his words. "I'm not saying I blame you for this! I couldn't ever blame you for this! No matter how much you went down a rabbit hole after I died, I couldn't blame you for how it's affected you." Moon explained weakly, slowly reaching out and tenderly gripping onto Rue's hand with reassurance. The fallen angel wordlessly stared down at their hands, her own hand gently aligned with her own boyfriend's. She sighed under her breath. "I know you're not, and I wasn't thinking that." Rue murmured quietly, her - now mismatched purple and red - eyes glancing around their bedroom. Moon noticed how she had suddenly tensed. "Rue? What's wrong?" He asked worriedly. The corrupted figure shook her head slowly, her pupils shrinking as she listened intently to something. Finally, the moon-themed demon realised what she was listening to. Raised voices. Coming from two particular people that had been staying in the Celestial house for a while - one of them having their own place with his boyfriend - and had been a very close trio friendship when Moon first met Rue with the two of them. It only took a single second for Rue to glance at Moon, for him to nod and they had both teleported out of their shared room to the exact room where the increasingly loud argument was held. "AFTER EVERYTHING THAT SHE'S DONE, YOU'RE TAKING HER SIDE? SHE NEARLY KILLED ECLIPSE! LOOK AT WHAT AND HOW SHE IS NOW!" Foodie screamed, staring at Mercury with a mix of hate and betrayal in her brown eyes. Neither he or Foodie had noticed that the demonic "sibling" figures were watching them. The male animatronic in front of her just rolled his eyes, scoffing with disbelief. "You seriously care if something happens to him? Honestly, no wonder why Rue's turned against you. You're more worried about HIM than anything else! Just get out of here and be done with it!" "I'M NOT GOING ANYWHERE FOR YOUR SAKE! I'M STAYING RIGHT HERE WHETHER YOU LIKE IT OR NOT!" Foodie screamed back, her hands shaking with a mix of hatred and genuine anger. An emotion that hardly came out of her. "Oi, oi, oi! The hell is going on here?!" Moon finally intervened, grasping the opposite duo's attention. The angel's eyes filled with tears as she faced her brother/father figure (*author's note real quick: I'll explain more in the credits of why it's both father and brother figure!! Do NOT JUST JUDGE, LET ME EXPLAIN!! ^^" *). Mercury just looked at Moon blankly. "Look man, I'm sick of Foodie. She cares more about hating on Rue for what she did and how she is now, and cares for her little ECLIPSE after everything that HE had done in the past. Don't you think it's ridiculous? Eclipse is far worse than Rue, yeah?" The moon-themed demon found both his brother AND his girlfriend staring at him. Eclipse was looking at him as if he was daring Moon to say that he was, and Rue had the look that wordlessly screamed "Now you see how I feel in this house". "I'm not picking anybody's dang side. It's just making everything more of a mess! Enough with all of the arguing! I'm sick of it!"
Eclipse scowled, but he dropped the facial expression he'd had less than a minute ago. Mercury rolled their eyes, but their gaze went to his sister figure, who's tail was curled around her boyfriend's legs. "Well, I'm staying at mine and Nexus' place for a while, then. Don't be surprised if you hardly ever see me around." The animatronic spoke. Ruella nodded once, silently, returning eye contact back to Mercury. A second after they had spoken, a portal opened behind him. Mercury gave Foodie one last hostile glare, glanced at both Moon and Rue over their shoulder, and stepped into it - the portal closing behind him. The younger angel turned to look at the night-themed demon, tears still full in her brown eyes. However she immediately flinched as she caught her so-called older sister figure staring at her with an intensity of hate and fury. The angel's hands trembled shakily, but she withstood her ground and maintained her own heavy gaze with Rue. "Stay away from me, you. I don't want you anywhere NEAR me. I don't care whether you care about Eclipse and want to stay away from him or not- I couldn't care less about the two of you." Rue hissed coldly to the so-called younger sister. Foodie glared at Ruella weakly, her hands still shaky. "If you don't want me anywhere near you, then let me be and don't even bother interacting with me. You're not the sister of mine that I once knew." The angel responded quietly, sniffling. "Guys, please, eno-" Moon started, before his voice cracked. Rue turned to look at her partner, before realising with confusion: Moon had vanished. Completely out of thin air... He was right there, beside her! "Moon?! Where in the world have you gone?!" Rue yelled out, making Foodie flinch again. She swallowed, concern in the depths of her eyes. "H-he was right there..." Rue snapped her neck to look at Foodie, then abruptly teleported right in front of her- making the angel instinctively take a step backwards in fear. "He is none of your concern. Mind your business, Foodie!" She snarled angrily. Just as Foodie was contemplating whether to speak again or not, Rue turned her back to her, opened a portal, then left. Foodie knew she was on the hunt for Moon. Again. ~~~ Chpt 60~? Song: Mom friend - Kittensneeze Thumbnail isn't mine<3 Also, about the explaining thing. Foodie sees Moon as both a brother and a father figure, because he was the first animatronic she fully trusted, before he was w/ Rue. Want more info? Ask @Yourbestieforfood, because I'm genuinely exhausted after having to finish this and then having to edit it because scratch decided not to keep everything I wrote!!! Added info/explanation from Foodie (@Yourbestieforfood): Foodie sees Moon as a brother/father figure because he was one of the first people for her to actually feel safe around and aside from Rue, she told him everything and they have found out how to keep her away from a CERTAIN DOCTOR- *cough* despite this being a fanfic with Rue and Moon, Foodie also does care deeply for Moon along with Rue.
