u·ni·ty. noun; the state of being united or joined as a whole. But is that what the world is really portraying? Are we really striving to help unite? Or are we just letting our judgmental instincts take over us? I, like most people, was taught to look and treat others in a respectful manner. To treat others the way I would want to be treated. But this obviously doesn't matter to some of us anymore; or we just may not think about how our actions or thoughts may impact others. Many people are being bullied, hated, stereotyped, singled, whatever you wanna call it. Why? Because our species doesn't seem to understand what they are doing. Is it really humane to hate someone for their beliefs? Orientation? Race? Background? Appearance? For something they cannot, or choose not to change? If we cannot change the way WE judge people, why do we expect people to change for US? Even the term "own kind" has been taken away and separated man into different groups. I say it's time we look at each other with equality and bring back what life was before all this hatred.
