The water is calm I am restless The water is peaceful I am fighting war with myself I came to the water Looking for relief Tired of playing hide and seek with the truth That truth that I kept inside The truth that persisted Even when I ignored it The truth that saved me From Hell. The truth I didn't want to hear Even though I knew I needed it The truth was this. Jesus. Jesus. Jesus is THE WAY. There isn't another. So I step into the water I cry out to God Eyes shut firmly I feel someone grab my hand I feel something steady my heart I feel the water I feel it all around me It was seconds And it changed my eternity He held my hand And pulled me up And since then I've walked with him.
