As Kefeon prepares to set off to the stars, it is clear that we need some form of self defence, thus our shipyard got to work on several prototypes, eventually landing on a design based on early colonisation ships. The ship's frame is most of the actual structure of the ship, people live within the ring that makes up the large area on the top of the ship, which spins to generate artificial gravity like on many space stations. the ring also features several solar panel arrays within the centre and several laser arrays around the ring. The nuclear reactor that powers the ship is located in the low point that the lower prongs connect to, it is heavily armoured and it's distance from the inhabited area is a safety precaution primarily. The ship features a small hangar bay within the interior of the circle that carriers 3 shuttles used for colonisation, landing on planets or docking with space stations, though the bay could possibly also carry fighters and such. You may have noticed that this sounds nothing like a warship, that's because the need for a proper, dedicated "warship" was not really believed a priority by the government. They instead decided to make a multipurpose ship that simply had a "heavy" armament (aka a light armament but we are practically demilitarised so) but also many other features. Tell me if something's wrong.
