I was glad that I met these animals, but… { No. Don’t think about it. } I couldn’t bear the fact. After camp ended, I would most likely never see them again. I was only visiting my grandma for the summer, and we lived in polar-opposite places! These were the first therians I had ever met— and soon it would all be over. “Willow!” Ash snapped, letting out a bark-howl. “Hey, pay attention!” Jessi and I had gotten to the Den. “I’ve been trying to talk to you for two minutes!” “Sorry, Ash.” I apologized, noticing the wolf mask that he was now wearing. “I was just thinking. So, uh… Jessi told me about a test…?” “Yes.” Ash said. “Let’s gather for the ceremony.” We all gathered into a circle. Ash was at the front. Quinn was next to him. I was next to Quinn. Sunny was next to me. Jessi was next to Sunny. And Alex was next to Ash and Jessi. We all held hands. “We have been blessed with this power to shift into our kin,” Ash recited. “But it is also a curse; that we are chained to live in these bodies. This is why we have the Den. It is a safe place. To join the Pack, you must complete the test. Are you ready, Willow?” “I… I am.” I said. I squeezed Quinn and Sunny’s paws tighter. “There are three tests.” Ash told me. “First, you must complete the signature Pack jump. Then, you must complete walking, trotting, and running quads with vocals. Then, you must wear your mask while you tell us more about your leopard self. Do you understand?” “I do.” Ash raised his voice, tilted his head towards the sky, and “Then, let the ceremony of animals… BEGIN!!!” ——— Heart and star if you liked please!!!
